DislikedChandra, do i download from post 1? and i have another question - with this lispa do we use laguerra2-asc1 or laguerra-asc1 - because on some charts posted by other people on Imrans thread I see that the lispa signals are 1 or2 bars earlier to mine and i am using laguerra2-asc1 - can you help ?? thankshttp://www.forexfactory.com/images/icons/icon7.gifIgnored
DislikedHi me4x,
Yes, you have to download again from post 1.
This program can use old Laguerre or Lag-ACS1 or Lag2-ACS. But best used with Lag-ACS1. Old Lag does not have the smoothing MA. Lag2-ACS does double the calculations and so wastes some computer power!
I don't know how they got earlier signals. May be some changed to old-Lag (it can be changed). But that will give choppy signals during choppy periods! You just stick to defaults.

I cannot think of any other filters to be added (it is done). Trendlines, S/R levels, Divergence, Candle and other price patterns have to be checked manually (I cannot automate these!).Ignored
DislikedThanks Chandra - if i add say another 2 emas on the chart, will their presence be taken into the calculations automatically or do i need to change anything for these to be included.http://www.forexfactory.com/images/icons/icon7.gifIgnored
DislikedHey Chandra (& Imran also)
many many thanks for all your work. We are all so lucky to have u here and spend soooo much time for sharing this great system with us.
To your quote from above:
Hey, finally, i wanna do something on my own :-) so i will check it manually.
I use the system/alert as a first sign to look at the charts and then check it manually whether to make the trade or not.
Have a nice weekend !!

DislikedHi me4x,
It looks like the Lag Indicator filename cannot be changed. So, I guess that may be some people have changed the filter settings to get earlier/more signals (but will give many false signals also).
Only the EMAs already included in the program can be used. It does not matter what other indicators are in the chart. The indicators in the chart mostly ignore each other! So, if you want to use another indicator as a filter, it has to be done manually.
Hope this explains how it works.

chandraIgnored
DislikedChandra, i don't mean to be a pain in the butt, as requested you have edited the size of the verical lines but now it doesn't have the option of turning the lines off like previously. The reason i pointing this out is because on the 5min chart the thin vertical lines are great, on the 1hr or longer they are very sqished and i would rather turn them off - so please if you could put that option in - thanksIgnored
DislikedHi me4x,
I am a good programmer! I won't do such things!! May be you did not check the new updated Settings post. Now the option to remove is simply built in to the same control, VericalLineWidth (I like to keep less input parameters). Just use any number below 1 (zero or any negative number). The lines will be off.
Regards,
chandraIgnored
DislikedChandra, I have no clue about programming and respect all that you have done here, in the previous settings the lines could be removed and the arrows stayed on - this way the chart is less cluttered, the arrows on their own keep the chart clean on smaller time frames - like i said this is just the cosmetics side of things, try them on 5min and then 1 or 4 hr and you will see what i mwan.Ignored
DislikedHi All,
Here I will post some of my Indicators (only new Indicators).
Information on How to attach Indicators, How to change Indicator Settings and How to setup email can be found in my LISPA thread's first post:

1. LISPA2: (29-NOV-07) <NEW> [Last Modified: 29-Nov-07 11:30 PM EST][Prior Views: 68]
Here is the second edition of LISPA (for prior versions, see my earlier thread at the first link above). Similar to LISPA1, it generates several types of Alerts for Buy/Sell signals. This Indicator needs Laguerre-ACS1.ex4 to be present in the Indicators folder (no need to attach it, but if you have attached to a chart that is not a problem). It has optional MACD-Stoch, EMA25-EMA60 filters. It may miss some great moves due to difficulty to code for every possible conditions, but generates better quality signals (not fool-proof, but much better than earlier version).
Settings of LISPA2 are detailed in the following Link:
http://www.forexfactory.com/showpost...1&postcount=93
My ADDITION: One thing I have found is that, it is better to wait for the signal bar (the bar before the arrow) range to be broken by a couple of pips in our direction. This I consider as additional confirmation (in addition to others pointed out in Main thread). Take only good setups and leave the sharp moves and average/difficult/conflicting/counter-trend setups to experts! I think it works great on consolidation Breakouts and Rounded Top/Bottom. Choppy market can be a killer!
Disclaimer: This Indicator is only to simplify the work, not to eliminate the work! Use the Alerts as a time to start analysis, not as a time to enter immediately. PLEASE read the first post and the PDF of Main thread carefully and practice/demo trade first until you get the feel for the system before entering real trades.
Please leave your questions, suggestions and feedback about the programs here. The method related questions will be answered better in the Main thread.

2. Laguerre-ACS1:
It is my new variation of Laguerre. It simply has the option to plot the MA for Laguerre itself. Normally Laguerre had only one variable, the gamma. To get faster signal we had to use lower gamma, which produced fakes often. If we increased the gamma, the fakes were avoided, but there was a considerable delay to get the signal. I thought about the ways to improve the noise/delay problem. Usually I like to try MA to everything and here it seemed to help quite a bit. I checked it for the past few days. Still False signals are there, but Fakes (lasting just one or two bars) are almost fully eliminated. Using just 2-bar MA does a good job, almost without any delay (at worst case there is a single bar delay).
* A very minor problem of displaying a second value was corrected (25-Oct-07 20 ET)
To learn the details of how to use Laguerre successfully, visit the following thread. At least read the first post there very thoroughly (it is not just for scalping):

3. Chandra-SAS2: Chandra-Signal-Alert-System2: (Coming Soon: Version 3)
This is next version of my earlier alert system. This system just monitors another signal generating Indicator and makes ALL the LISPA type alerts when that Indicator generates a new signal.
Some signal generating Indicators make the signals in such a way that no other program can read. Such Indicators cannot be monitored. Currently, this can be used to monitor ASCTrend1sig-imran.ex4 or MT4-LevelStop-Reverse (others also can be used if you know the details of that program). The later generates signals in a hidden way and so I had to change the original code (to MT4-LSAR.ex4 which is also attached here).
***** This system can be used with Indi_Name either "1" or "2" (simple names! You can use whole name also). 1 is defined to use ASC and 2 is defined to use MT4-LSAR.
To use 1, you should have the file ASCTrend1sig-imran.ex4
(get it from http://www.forexfactory.com/showpost...postcount=2341 )
To use 2, you should have the file MT4-LSAR.ex4 (attached here).

4. Laguerre2-ACS1 (MTF_Laguerre with MA):
This is the modified version of my MTF_Laguerre. It can plot two lines. First line plots only for current chart timeframe. The TimeFrame for second line can be changed. The MA bars can be changed for both independantly. Some of the settings are given below (others are obvious):
TimeFrame2=0; (0 = current chart Timeframe; negative = next higher TimeFrame);
MA1 = 2; (two bar average for first Lag)
MA2 = 2; (two bar average for second Lag; better to increase when using higher TimeFrame)
MaxBars=1000; (should be increased for using much higher timeframe, such as 5M chart with 60M Lag!)

DislikedHi CHandra. Many thanks for giving us access to the fruits of your work. A couple of questions if you dont mind.
Do you need to refesh the auto pivot indicator each day/week, or will it do it automatically?, if you do, whats the best way of doing it?
ALso, I watch quite bit it of chat on live trading sites, where they frequently announce that pivots are at a certain value - whch is out of range of the view of the 5 min I chrt I look at. Is there a way of viewing where all the pivots, S, R are located, or a way of tabulating them for easy reference?
Many thanks
