Are u saying that the 3 duck system didn't work for you or you're just choosing not use it? I really like that system since I'm not looking for a large amount of pips. What are your opinions since you were using that system as well? Thanks
I was taught that if you have not got anything good to say about someone, then say nothing at all. However I must not have learned well because I must say that I have seen no evidence that Rob Booker has any idea about trading forex. I have seen a few of his "trade ideas" and the best way to trade them is do the opposite of what he says. He has not go a clue. Sorry for my bad manners.

I think the 3 ducks work great in a trending market!!

ok I am using a very simple system 5 RSI & 5 ema close & 5 ema open
I look at it on the day, 4 hour 1 hour 15 min & 5 mins
if they are all in line I am in
that is it ..

I wait to get back in untill the 15 min goes the wrong side & comes back right

below is a chart of a trade I took its on the 5 mins chart but at that time all 5 charts where in line
ie. emas rsi & candles all up

I should say the rsi is the main thing to get in
if we move to a trending market I will let it run till the ema cross.

It's not; he's running a negative expectation that will eventually catch up to him. It's one of those trade lesons we all learn eventually. The key is, not to loose your enthusiasm for the job when these things catch up to you. Just keep grinding forward and take that knowledge with you.

At the end of the day you want a system that has a win % that is a little better than 50% and winners that are just a little bigger than loosers. Much beyond that, over years and years of trading (not weeks and months) isn't very likely.

Keep on with the work, you'll enjoy the ride if you hang in with it and are careful along the way.

You're right, man....happened to me a couple weeks ago.

Had a "system" like this, it's basically scalping. I just took 10-20 pip profits.

My win/loss ratio was like 10:1 lol

I was up 50% of my total account, and then in just a few days everything just went screwy that whole week...and I lost about half of that profit.

So, I was done w/ that.

Some systems work great for a couple/few weeks and then a week that goes opposite than what you think hits...and then it hits the fan!

closed both cads out for 12 pips each

(the reason I closed the 2 trades was the two 5emas crossed on the 5 mins chart)

could but I don't think it will prove any thing - as I do a lot of idea trading on it & so have a lot of losses as well. I will try & post the last 15 which are just this system and all but 1 is a winner


what I will do if I get some time is post some live trades

I don't let anyone see my real account .. no I don't play on it
The above I am speaking of is my demo ?!?!?!
& yes I do have paper lose on it a lot... !!!!
yes I do trade for a living
