Can someone tell me how to project target on bullish butterfly and also will the attachments also show me the set up on a bear bat. Thanks to anyone who can help

I've wondered about that recently, too. It could be "big boy" buyers / sellers who are reluctant to go beyond a certain average price. Or some mathematical confluence of fibs and MA's. Aus uses the 1hr 100sma in one of his strategies, and Hakuna Matata uses 25 - 200 ema's and sma's in his. I guess when a person finds something that works for them, they tend to use it. One interesting thing I've noticed about those MA's, is that the higher they are, the more potent the support and resistance. But why they work is still mysterious, much like "why" fib numbers work in charts and in the real world (or why they sometimes don't).

Hi,

If you have MT4 you can use the attched indicator & if there is any harmonic patterns in the make it will paint it for you as well as the box.

I don't know about any other platform indicators, so I cannot help you with there.
Additionally I have included a sheet that has pictures showing the various patterns.

I agree that people will use whatever works for them, which is common sense to most- I hope. The reason that the higher averages work better than the lower averages is because they are the average of the last 100 or 200 trading bars. That's just an example, but I think it's a good one. For instance a 25 sma is only counting the last 25 trading bars, whereas a 100 sma is averaging the last 100, which makes it stronger. I am going to go into detail, perhaps in another thread, as to why fibs work through just about everything. It's actually crazy how they were developed in the first place.

To use the fib drawing, use the following settings:
ExtFiboDinamic = true;
ExtFiboStatic = true;
ExtFiboType = 0;

It really does a great job.

Attached is an example.
