Hey Guys,
I was a close follower when Spud generously gave his time to this thread, and I stayed with it while he mentored each and every one of us on the specific details of his methods. No doubt, MTF Stochastics, with experience, can be a terrific method of trading. Spud was a great teacher and mentor, but he has obviously -- and sadly -- vanished from the scene. Hopefully he will return one day, but until he does, I'd like to continue to learn as much as I can. And, believe, me, I still have a great deal to learn.
I've begun to lose interest in this thread (as I suspect from the lack of participation here, that many others have, as well), mainly because the focus here has dramatically shifted from TRADING with MTF Stochs, to running all kinds of supplemental indicators, writing brilliant code, endless EA's, auto-systems, and the like, but I personally don't prefer this route for my own trading experience. The current direction of the thread just seems to be way off-topic for me, though I certainly understand and respect the interest of others in these peripheral discussions.
However, I'd like to gain a better grip on the actual trading process itself, and I truly want to learn the more subtle nuances of the MTF Stochastic methodology, so that I can become a better, more efficient -- and successful -- trader. This is not to say there is anything wrong with all the other stuff; I'm just saying that for me, personally, I'd like to get back to refining the core methodology.
With that in mind, I'd like to suggest to others who may feel similarly, that we start either a brand new thread, or begin a more interactive trading or chat group (either on this site or elsewhere), specifically focused on How to Trade MTF Stochs. We could participate all day long if we like, and share our thoughts, charts, entries/exits, offer heads-up alerts regarding possible upcoming trades, figure out what we're doing wrong (and right!), and generally help each other to become better and more successful traders for the long term.
It would be more of a "purist" group, not so involved in cluttering up our screens with endless auto-pilots and mechanical indicators (except, of course, for the most common basic pivot points, S&R lines, and perhaps a few MA's) so that we can concentrate on seriously honing our trading skills and learning how to utilize MTF Stochastics effectively (if not exclusively), in order to add many more pips to our daily diets.
Anyone else interested in doing this with me?
Thanks for reading!
