trader: try taking the port suffix off and see if that works. if that does not work, try port 25. if that does not work, let me know.. could be firewall or a router
Have you ever tried using your universal indicator and other indicators on the s and p futures or nasdaq 5 or 15 minute bars to see how they perform on that market?

I wish somebody teach me those thing, perhaps we could make some money there too...I like the idea, bro of invading the s&P and nasdaq. What is a universal indicator??

fortunately, i get unlmited SMS or it might be an issue! are you running a firewall? if so, the next step would be to disable the firewall. are you behind a router? if so, you might need to open a port (but i would think not because it is outgoing).. you may actually wind up needing to contact support for the MT software or ask your ISP if they block those ports. it seems like it should be working

Ohhh.. OK what i hear in the forex futures is the required initial deposit is so high that inhibits a lot of us small mini account holder to be in their league. am i right or wrong?? But that is one area where we also venture for some trading.. right??

i think you can open futures accounts with less money (definitely no more than 10K.. i think MB trading has it.. but i am not sure it is worth pursuing if you are doing this well on Forex.. sometimes it is better to specialize IMO. its hard to imagine doing better on futures than you are doing on forex. i also know a lot of people who have done well with forex and got burned on futures. but it might be worth checking it out from a research perspective.

Sorry I meant the ultimate indicator. Stock index futures is as highly leveraged as forex. Generally would need $5000 to trade 1 mini s and p futures or one can trade stock index options for as little as $2000,possibly less. You would attach your indicators to the s and p index during market hours and use say the 15 minute bars to measure the accuracy of your indicators during market hours. If you get a buy signal, you would buy S and p futures or call options or short s and p futues or buy a put option if you get a sell signal.Market is only open 7 hours so no overnight trading

Good to hear that you all did well during the time I was sleeping. Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond my control I can only trade during half the day, which means that I miss out on London and New York openings. I guess I could just let my existing trades run, but there is always a chance that the trades will reverse while I'm not watching the computer. That happened earlier this week, and I lost about 400 pips.
Anyway, I still hope to make money during the times I am trading, even if I don't make as much as some of you guys. I might not be able to get 1000 pips per week, but 500 isn't bad.

500 is plenty, especially if you trade full lots. i am not quite there yet myself with the hoops i have to jump through for funding. once i get myself switched to a new broker and have 20K capital in my account, i will do full lots

GU is trending. It is trending Short. We could the trading now. I estimate this to be giving you at least 100 pips. I dont know if up to today or tommorrow but this is sure ball. My Problem trading this is i will be travelling (long drive later) so much that i like to trade this i will not.
Anyone who have the time you can trade this:
