This has me thinking. Maybe I should just make my little breakout
method my #22. That would really help me stay focused. I tend to
be easily distracted by the "greener" grass (pips) on the other side
of the fence. LOL

I think you are correct.
I have my own little break-out method that works very well for me. (page 58 of e-book).
I had actually "discovered" this on my own, and the e-book confirmed it...and it works!
I printed that page and stuck it on my wall at my trading station, and it also is currently the wall-paper on my computer, to constanly remind me of what I am trading.
'cause, that's the way uh-huh, uh-huh, I like it uh-huh, uh-huh,
that's the way uh-huh, uh-huh, I like it uh-huh, uh-huh.
do a little dance, make a little pips...yada yada yada.
On my way to Acapulco, Mexico on an 8 day cruise WITH my wife!! WOO-HOO!!!
I do miss alot of the other moves (and once in awhile I will play) I don't really care about how many I miss, because all that really matters is how many I hit.
I would rather miss a great move than get in on bad one.
I still hate to lose.

Hi Stan!
Nice to hear from you!
Do you mean one of the useful links on P.58?
I like a good riddle. I'll guess an adaptation of KH Pattern 5. LOL

If I am understanding you correctly, your pg. 58 has just links on it.
There has been an update for a total of 63 pages and page 58 is what works for me.
(hint for those that have not purchased the e-book, DO IT!)

Yep. I use a 1 min as a "longer term" chart (most people see this as "shortest term"... lol). When you're scalping off the 5 sec, a 1 min seems to take forever to change, so not only does it give you perspective, but you really don't have to refer to it often.

And if the 1 min/5 min. trend is going sideways... no problem! Just draw horizontal lines on your 5 sec chart near the price levels they're bouncing off of, and you can scalp some nice 10 pip moves (I find it best to use TPs in this type of market condition) as it bounces back and forth.

Yes... goal must be 5 sec and trade on tick chart... LoL

Yes. Listen folks. Save money on something that will never possibly make
you any money - like (insert almost any purchase here). Not on this e-book.

Eyecelll, can you elaborate more on what you mean by "money makers trap"?
Ignored
here's a possible explanation but i'm not claiming this is what actually happened:

during slow trading hours market makers can make traps for retail traders by price manipulation. the tick up (in red circle) could be manufactured by money makers and trigger buy signal for retail traders, as soon as traders bought money makers could drive prices down by 7 or so pips to scare shit out of traders and make them sell. here's a good video with some explanation of money makers manipulations
Inserted Video

i dont really know much about how money makers scalp but anyone who's interested in the subject could share their views. thanks

*updated*: the reason i posted this screenshot in the first place is because this is a hi-prob setup that failed, isnt it? eventually it went up as it was supposed to but made a trick before the move

Interesting vid. I like the MM vs. Large Retail explanation. I guess
we're in the middle (if we use MM).
I'm not much for the "defensive" trading.
AKA "averaging". Not for me. Like Eddie Toppel said:
Double Up To Belly Up. LOL

Thanks EC!

Ye gods... what a terrible piece of software. The only thing that made any sense was the large red/green circles showing volume balance at certain prices. I couldn't understand what all that other crap was in the background or even what it's supposed to represent.

My guess is that many of these methods are intentionally complicated
so that you require the "support" of the developer.
Compare that to this one which is very simple and similar to what we're
doing. Just a scalper showing his simple method.

i'm not sure what all those indicators mean but money makers buying/selling against retail traders is definitely helpful. i wonder if it's possible to get this info from the level ll

as far as i know this guy is more of a swing trader than scalper. plus the approaches are totally different. one is using s/r levels and the other is following market makers

Hey eyecell, my understanding is don't trade the pull out till it retraces past itself...just saw this on the trades--don't usually trade right now, it's a bit slow, and my h-lines aren't at 5 increments, but you get the point...green lines show entries...and of course, hindsight is always 20/20...pkchilly

I find it's nice to trade breakouts like these on the open of each session and at each hour--if they materialize...

good observation pk, absolutely agree about retraces, the next move usually is much bigger.

what do you mean at each hour? like the breakouts during this time x:59-(x+1):01?

Yep. Just running a SAR and MACD (?... at least, that's what it looks like). Keep it simple.

My old sig block said that if you trade with more indicators* than articles of clothing you wear on a typical day, then something's wrong.

* And yes, I consider the rainbow as a single indicator, even though it is technically several MAs put together.
