I'd also be surprised if DOW fell too far below 11,000 anytime soon. You would need some serious panic selling. Strong support at 11,800, 11,400 and then 10,800.
Hi Zoran, how are you? INMO, I see a medium term bottom around the 3rd of December, ideally I would look for 210 level it may overshoot and try 205. From that point on, at least that's my plan, I will attempt to build a sizeable carry trade position all the way through march of next year, that would be a top and a long term reversal. At least that's what I see at the moment, I also think that the Dow will not get below 11.800-11.400 max, untill march of next year as well, that's when it will get apparent to the general public that we are in a bear market and that's when I expect panic selling to begin

I'm not very good with time analysis so I tend to focus on price. I have dates thrown at me all of the time. Tomorrow is apparently a Gann reversal Day and someone also mentioned the 4th of Dec being another key time point.

Here are some charts I posted almost 3 months ago that are still in play. The patterns have been correct and reversals are close enough but the timing wasn't any good (as usual). The top chart is almost complete whereas the bottom one has a little while to go.

I've looked at your charts and I do agree with the general view, however there are a few key points to note, 3rd or 4th of December, although I'm favouring the 3rd myself, is a key reversal inmo, and that reversal is good for a few months at least, the 20th which is upon us could also be a reversal, but then where would the price be on the 3rd?, It's got to be at an extreme level to reverse to the upside. That said, I don't have a strong feeling about the 20th but logic would suggest that it may be an acceleration point, or stagnation, if that is the case than the overall structure makes complete sense. We would hit the low on the 3rd-4th, and go up to complete a wolf wave patern, 245 or slightly above. The only thing that makes me uneasy with this scenario is a span of time between the 20th and the 3rd as well as the stucture on the dollar index. The scenario that I have for the time being is a choppy decline that will accelerate as we get closer to the turning point in December. Let's wait and see...

Although I do not use them but I hear that Dukas has one of the lowest on that pair.

It looks like the 4hour chart has a bearish wedge that is almost ready to breakout to the downside. Sorry for no chart I have never posted one before.

have u looked at mbtrading? I have used a demo platform, the spreads were 3-4pips during normal market. I have read a few times that their rollover interest is not very good, so they probably would not be suitable for carry trades.

I am trying to get the code for the indicator so I can understand how it works. I did find a file called QQE.mq4 dated Oct 17, 2007 at 1:09pm. Is this the same file as QQE Alert MTF v5?

I started with 1000
and this last trade is doubling my last balance...
1259 pips by now...

but this is demo... my real account is much worse... this is an example of how trading in demo is much more easier than in real accounts...

I should put the same orders now in real and demo.... but how can i do it? it sounds easy.. but.. heh

One personally utilizes MB Trading. Spreads as low as 1 pip but usually 3 pips.

I only found the FF forums a few months ago and have become fascinated by the graphs put up by the likes of Gene and Zoran on this page. I'm interested to know how the great strategy work of Aus could fit in with anyone predicting a big move in GJ at any time (such as today).
Gene, on your masterful graph http://www.forexfactory.com/attachme...3&d=1195164593 you believe GJ will break out from the TL going down from point 4, doesn't this tie in with Zoran's mention of a reversal? You then had a big fall from the 233 area on the 21st, through Thanksgiving and beyond.
I'm interested in the correlation between the stock markets and particularly the Dow and the carry trades. Then also the interaction of the fundamentals and the technicals. I have more knowledge of the fundamentals but would like to know how technicals help forecast the markets. To me this reversal upwards would imply the stock markets bounce upwards in quite a violent way to reach this new target for the big fall down. Is that scenario really likely after todays fall in the Dow below 13,000 and with the fundamentals being so Markamish (soon to be a new word for pessimistic)? Personally I believe that the fundamentals are currently so negative that Aus's momentum readings are being dragged down, for instance today was nothing but a bearish move although it was supposed to have a bullish period. Anyone seeing a bullish move in momentum last week may have also witnessed a bearish result due to the fundamentals. Friday there may have been a disconnect to this theory.
Which brings me to the crux of my inquiry, is it possible for the Dow to drop a 1,000 or 2,000 points rapidly, say by Thanksgiving - although I think even Markham would be impressed by such a move even if the fundamentals may support this view (or GJ to go below 209), if Aus's readings point to a bullish week or even a day in the same time period?

P.S. Markham I really enjoy your posts but unfortunately there's not enough history on the FF to see if you were ever positive when some of the fundamentals in the past could have been more optimistic for the stock markets!

P.P.S Gene, I may make a follow up post in the coming weeks with regards to your post on this page about a long bull run (against the fundamentals?).

We are currently sitting on the 100sma weekly 224.74. A break at this point would give a free fall to new lows. Possible 219.25 last low aug 07.

Good evening fellow traders, I'm still holding one longterm short position with tp at 224. Now, as you all can see, this pair was ranging during the last london open. Now it is ranging again (about 50 pips range). If you could net about 30 pips for each upswing and downswing. It will add up. The idea is...hmmm...I'll keep this a secret. But anyways, many profitable traders will tell you (or will not tell you) scalping is one way (easy one) to beating forex. I should have my fxmanager acct tomorrow. Oanda is quite responsive with their emails. Good trading all.

Good obeservation Fat al..

I just want let you know..that most of the traders on this thread have misunderstood the momentum indicator. The exact point where the bar opens is as important as where the direction of the momentum.. I'm doing some extensive studying on the momentum indicator with lots of success so far, on the journal section and if anyone interested in trading on this indicator, I would advise you to go thru that thread.

well after some thought I've placed another short targeting 223.50 with an S/L of only +1. I've noticed we are currently in a bullish wedge formation AKA: Falling Wedge(as you can see on the chart below) so pretty soon we're gonna have a HUGE breakout to the upside with the next failed attempt to break the 223-224 level

NOTE: This isn't totally confirmed yet...only time will tell, but a break above that wedge resistance line would most likely signal a long
