Hello Finny!

Hope you had a good drive through the snow on friday! Trenchaser now has a blue horn on his head by banging it on the table.
Idea: Internal magic numbers for multiple uses of the managetp34 engine!

Hopefully you are relaxed and had some sunlight already (liquid or not )!

Hello Matt!

The weather was really bad. Icy roads and snow on it with really almost zero visibility. I think the next week I'll have more time to concentrate to trading again. Right now I'm just watching TV and having a drink. See ya later!

Hi Nofx!

I noticed a few things I gather from your posts and charts.

You are trading the M15 only.

The moment there is a QQEA signal, I have seen that you do not enter the trade, you wait for something.

Can you please define your trading in an overview? I will write a few things that came to my mind at the moment:

  1. The QQEA signal occurred.
  2. You get a email on your cellphone/blackberry.
  3. Looked at the chart (on the M15, of course).
  4. You think it is a range day or a trend day.
  5. You verify using a M30, H1, H4 or D1 chart.
  6. You will look at the Heikin Ashi for a specific way the candles close/open/body of the candle.
  7. You see the market momentum.
  8. You will see if it is between 1 AM – 6 AM Eastern (London Session).
  9. The S/R levels are near the entry price.
  10. Wait for the T3 indicator line to go totally over or under the Heikin Ashi.

Please comment on the above, if possible be descriptive.

Randy.

Hi Randy!

Well, I guess I don't really have a checklist as such for taking a trade or at least I never thought of it in those terms.

Basically what I do is this:

1)Receive a QQE alert signal.
2)Make sure everything else confirms as explained in detail by Cryten in the first post of this thread.
3)Make sure I am not trading directly into an S/R level
4)take the trade.

Hope this helps,

NOFX

Hi Matrix,

The answer to your question is yes, but that might be a little deceiving seeing as how I only trade 1 currency pair and 1 time frame.

my Pivot line is set today at 226.64. After i reapplied this indicator from last week. What is your price? I just want to make sure that my indicator is set correctly.

Hi Vlad,

My pivot is at 226.83. I don't know for sure what the difference is but the only thing I can think of is that perhaps our daily candles have a different closing time which would affect the calculation. Other than that I couldn't say.

Would that be critical to get the right set of numbers for pivot lines?

Hey Vlad,

I think your mt4 is using data from Sunday's candle to calculate the pivot instead of Friday's candle. I don't know how to get rid of Sunday's candle on mt4 but someone else might. If I figure it out I will let you know.

I use an indicator called ### auto pivot and it has a parameter for "Use Sunday Data" true or false.

Hey Orion70!

I figured there was a way around it but mine just does it automatically because of time zone I guess. Thanks for helping out!

Just tried it out and it seems to work well.

Good trading,

Which indicator do you use? Mine has to be refreshed once in awhile and that is a hassle. Some of the other ones I tried were not very accurate though.

Hi Orion,

I use this one and it has been working well. I think a lot of these pivot indicators are quite different - I get different data out of some of them. After I looked at that autopivot it did not match up with mine on the S/R levels but it was close on the pivot. I still have to refresh the one I use everytime a new day begins. I will have to look into this a little more tomorrow I guess.

Hmmmm...
