Blue this is in Arizona on a trail called Squeeze Rock; there are few difficult obsticles on the trail (rated a 4.0 on a 1 to 5 scale). That line right there is a 3.5... It's actually not as technical as it looks.

There are basically three lines on that obsticle. The line I'm taking there is the medium line. We've taken Rubi's with 3" of lift and 35's (and lots of body armour) through it, tight to the left wall which allows the right rear to miss the big rock.

The hard line is hugging the passenger side where you have to run the both front and rear tires up the big rock... that is pretty much a buggy only line; something with very tall tires (like 39/40"), a long wheel base, but a fairly low center of gravity.

I've actually run some stuff that is a little more technical than that, maybe a 4.2 but thats about all my rigs suspension will allow. I also like to drive it fast so I have to maintain a balance in the springs and shocks; I give up a little on both ends to enjoy the rig in more areas...

Okay... back on topic... I've got to start thinking about data and forex again...

The EUR/USD made a move that I would have missed (see below)...

I've spent the weekend downloading data and watching football... I've still got one file left to complete the new raw dataset (almost 4000 files since Sunday morning)... I'll be on to cleaning it this morning and getting it ready for processing into a structured time series...

This next regression run I'm going to be testing several more time series than I have done in the past; several that are much more sensitive than the one I've been using, and a couple that are a little longer (240m 480m etc)...

So much for hanging around the box for any length of time... lots of chop in the market and we're seeing the EUR/USD get back on the strong side of the volatility curve so momentum will likely pick up in the next couple of days.

Not sure whats going on with the attachments here... had the same problem yesterday; seems I have to load things up a couple of times. I'll wait and see if it "appears" if not I'll redo the post...

Just some speculation on where resistance may come in over the next two days or so...

Current move could point to bullish continuation in the pair...

little resistance... some consolidation... think its time for a movie... well it would be if I wasn't hip deep in data. I'm still indexing, fixing broken files, correcting naming errors and fixing some of the craziest formatting errors I've ever seen... Can't complain the data was free and I new what I was getting into because I've used samples of it before...

Range bound and thats to be expected as we wrap the week up...

It's almost turkey day...

Just a quick update this morning... I'm looking for a move to 1.4686/32 on the recent move lower (see attached chart).

Back to cleaning data...

Ending the week with some dollar strength... got us to my target, which really wasn't much of a stretch from the original break. Also took us to a secondary support area at 4632 (thats a typo in the chart - my bad)

Targeting 1.3000 in the EUR/USD in the next few months... Of course that's meaningless unless you can trade it. I've got some longer-term models beginning to signal shorts and will be executing some tests here shortly.

Going to fire up the demo here and do a little step forward testing. This month I'm using a UK demo, I want to get a feel for it should I need to trade across the pond in the future. I'm not sure how all the regulatory issues are going to play out in retail forex here stateside so it's a wait and see for me. In the mean-time I can see how the model plays out on some of the longer time frames I want to target. This is going to be a slow burn, nothing fancy - just trying to grind out a few pips here and their with a very low risk profile. We'll see how it plays out.

Things are grinding in the right direction; will take a while for this to play, I'll probably be watching this trade through the end of the demo and will have to reestablish it in March.
