the ea opens n closes trades, im optimizing tp, sl, ts to make it more profitable.
if it doesnt make it better i dont use it

hello,

i tried your ea with default settings.

i closed one trade manually, and after sometime the ea open trade in the same direction, shouldnt ea wait for the change in direction to take next trade ?
heres a newere version, it is supposed to wait for a new direction though i havent forward tested that, i set the tp and sl to 15 in the back tester and it works fine, could you post the chart that this happened on

i just thought of some things that could cause that
the ea is set to use a mini account, the symbols have a m beside them (GBPJPYm) the comments on the chart display the settings being used
you should check that the psar indicators settings match what the comments say, and also that the comment says single entry

extern psar, is it used if full_Auto_settings=true ?

also MaximumRisk is it used if full_Auto_settings=true ?
full_auto sets psar, tp, ts, sl, & the tf for signal
changing any of those 5 settings will have no effect if full_auto is true
maximum_risk can be changed

heres the way im running the ea, stop n reverse style
i look at chart to see psar settings
i input them in the ea properties
i set auto to false
single entry to false
normal entry to true

now there is no tp sl or ts
im letting it run 24/7
i dont manually interear in any way

oh yeah
im only trading the 6 best pairs from the test
usd-jpy
usd-cad
nzd-usd
eur-jpy
gbp-jpy
usd-chf

far as a best way, i think much testing
i did make it so that a experienced trader can interveen
you might even wanna do this
set up the ea the way i just described exept leave single entry true
normal entry false
check the charts every so often, manually adjust your stops
close trades manually
you can use mt4's trailing stop if you wish
that way your using this ea as a entry only, and your managing the exits
but on the psar cross the ea will still close the trade unless you disable it

the auto settings is what the tester shows best over a long period of time
that doesnt mean its the best at this exact moment
you can adjust psar on the chart, then set ea to that
the use of the ea is pretty much unlimited

im running 6 diferent installs of mt4
2 of these are manual trading
so im not focused on this ea that i interfear
but if it turns out profitable after running a few months
i will open a sub account for it

Any chance of coding in a Magic Number so I can run this EA yet still trade another type of system without conflict?
it already has the magic number coded in, it uses a diferent magic number for each pair
the magic number being used is displayed on the chart in the comments
also in the order, theres a comment field so that you can see which trades this ea placed
this is the version you should be using

For clarification, I had an active trade open from another strategy, I then "engaged" the EA and it promptly closed the trade and placed the trade in the direction of the downward PSAR.

These were the settings:
auto entry : false
single entry : false
normal entry : true
ma entry : false

I would love to just set this as a stop & reverse system, like you are running it, but naturally without interfering with other trades I run on the same currency. Would this sequence of switches allow this?

auto : false
single : true
normal : false
ma entry : false

Wow, thank you for such a quick update.
none of the settings will interfear, both ways will stop n reverse
the important thing is that you dont use auto just because it puts a sl,tp and ts

single entry and normal entry will give simular results
the diference is single entry enters a bar later and you can close trades without it reentering

normal entry is more precise as it enters on the completion of the current bar
but if you close a trade it will reenter again at the completion of the bar
it will enter over n over

ma entry is same as normal entry, but it wont reenter until the low touches the ma for longs
or the high touches the ma for shorts, you can close trades long as your clear above the ea for longs
clear below for shorts
if price goes back n touches the ma it will reenter at the completion of the bar

for a accurate entry at the ma use tick mode so that it enters at contact instead of at the completion of the bar

psar is a indicator that comes with mt4
load it on a chart and its self explanatory
probly made for exits but here im using it as a system
