Thanks - at least I still knew 500 posts later that you mentioned it before.
The tester is a frustrating thingy by itself. I had such a process running for 2 hours and it showed no result at all!
So far your own scientific approach followed straight rules and has resulted in reproduceable settings - guess you are straightforward better than the machine!!

And buying/selling more in the next timeframe up is safer then adding all your lots in your first trade, imo.
Sure... by far less risky!! And adding 10% + 30% + 60% will make the risk-exposure bearable even if the 15M entry evolves as a lame duck!

We've got a winner

You can see from the table below that I tested AUDUSD on 4 different timeframes (no need to go lower as all my previous tests show disastrous results lower) first without filters, then with default filters. I have highlighted the best performance (4H with filters).

I then proceeded to check DMI 10 and 7, but the results were not better than 14, so 14 it is.

In the next table you see that I'm now testing MOM values. And in the area of 40 we get the best results. I will now fine tune (39, 38, 37... and 41, 42, 43...)

After that I'll test the various stop loss values, the trailing stop values and finally the take profits, as I want to include this one in the B&B. However I could (and I will) easily add this pair to the FullAutobots as it has a monthly pipage (as of this testing minute which might even increase in the hours to come) which is in second place!

301 pips is a major addition to our set of beauties!! But as they are in parallel flight most of the time - shouldn't NZDUSD work also then? Hoeroem ... if I may mention it in my flyliness...

There is a big uptrend, but there has been a major retracement from July to August. Well, I use this pair a lot, but only during news and then it is all the same where it is really located. I just need to know whether it is in a midterm /shortterm up- or downtrend. So this pair is surely a valid candidate, although we may not get 300+ pips in regular times (if these are ever returning).

And gmat, yes I'll have a look a nzdusd and (keep your fingers crosses) as I've had problems with the data for NZDJPY, so I hope to get better data for this one.

Hope it will work out. The movement this yer has been similar. The downward move was not fully recovered in that one, but it had even more big moves into one and retracement to the other direction. For longterm QQE action like a perfect picture!

Right! I think it is OK to use these pairs, as they are not moving with the carries and are not completely in line with the majors. So we have a further risk reduction through diversification by adding them. It will surely smooth out our (WE) equity curve even more and "There is always something moving on this market".

Yup there was a biggie trade (long) which lasted from sept 11 all the way up until oct 16 which generated $1,422. So if I only test from jan 1 to aug 31, we still get a nice 268 pips per month, I can live with that
