Please Note that I run the expert with set lots of .10 on a standard account with no trailing stop for test purposes. I also run a separate expert for each pair with the EAMagicNo changed for each pair. This is just my way of doing it. It is a very complicated expert and some have stated that it is not opening the correct amount of pending orders while using the same expert on all pairs at the same time.

Comment: The EA worked well in calculating orders for all charts it is attached to. Here's hoping the efficiency continues.
Looking forward to some strong trends to see how the trailing stop works.

Comment: A very slow session. EURJPY came very close to triggering the short orders before price proceeded to trigger the long orders instead. Any positive result is fine by me.

Comment: The trailing stop on EURJPY happened to lock in +49pips, 1pip lower than if I hadn't used it....we at least have evidence that the TS is working. The EA is working well most of the time, however for this day it didn't calculate the long orders on EURUSD, so I took the paper traded result. I'm still 90% happier with the new EA.

Comment: There was a very large price move to the downside during this session which triggered the short orders. However, price didn't continue enough to reach all profit targets.

Haha, well it looks like one of my MT4 Demo's got closed on one of my computers and it happened to be this forward test. So I missed Thursday and Fridays move and only hit the positive days this week. Not great for forward testing, but there are worse fates.

Here's a link to my the statement for this EA. Warning, Metatrader posts it on my personal FTP, which goes down sometimes when I post it here just from the traffic.

comment: Ranging day, neither long nor short entry was touched. Mike's record showed that EU and UJ had a negative result. Lucky to chose EJ pair.

My time zone is GMT+8.I traded manually and have no idea how EA operate on FXCM. Any hint on how to do it would be highly appreciated.

Hi !!!

For the moment you can´t work with the EA´s on FXCM. Maybe in some mounths. But you can use the Order2Go Api of FXCM, to program in Visual Basic or Java...Is very easy for this system, but not for others.

This is my Beta EA for FXCM Trading Station II...Is a modification of the original "Junior_TS". For the moment you have to set the HIGH and LOW manually, but I m working in a Access Database for do that. No problem with delete the limitis, change the Stop and Trailing Stop.

How do you backtest your strategies then ?

At the moment I am doing this visually which is time consuming and mind numbing. And then makes matters worse half way through I wonder what impact a small tweak would make on the results and have to begin the whole process again. Which just adds to the whole mind numbing experience.

Because Past Performance is No Guarantee of Future Results. There are too many unpredictable variables in future price action. Price action is ruled by current fundamentals and surprise news events, and not what happened in 1985.

MT4 comes with a back tester.

Thanks for your help! I downloaded the ibfx version to my interbank platform but have hit a snag. I saved the files to my experts indicators file but when I open it the journal in the platform says "expert daily 95 pips ibfx version is not custom indicator and will be removed". Needless to say the program doesn't load and isn't working. I'm not sure what I've done wrong. So if you or anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

Put the file in the experts root directory, and NOT the indicator directory that is within the experts directory.

Interbank FX Trader 4/Experts

Do not save to:

Interbank FX Trader 4/Experts/Indicators

Also, wait for PipHunter's latest EA version for IBFX users.

Hello Everyone,

In this post, and the following, you will find the EAs that I have changed to work with the following brokers:

IBFX (InterbankFx)
Alpari
FXDD
North Finance
ODL

These need to be loaded on your platform and activated PRIOR to the start of trading Sunday, or whenever the first 1H bar for your broker is formed for the week. This EA is setup to work on a 1H chart. If you attach it to any other time frame, it will not trade according to the rules set forth by Mikelath.


Each EA has been modified to the time changes for each broker that I have listed above. They also take into account if the broker has missing bars from their close on Friday and their open on Sunday.

Pr1mer wrote this EA and deserves the credit for doing so. I am just trying to help with the time issues and, thus, I have made a couple small programming changes. His instructions on how to set up the other parameters are HERE.

If we can get everyone on the same time schedule, we can start checking other aspects of this EA. If there are any changes that need to be made after we start using the Fall Versions of the EA I will let you all know.
