On the forum marc posted his 5M EA trades a few hours ago. Unbelievable!!
I asked him for his set-file right away. This thing is really getting profitable big time! Eagerly awaiting your results! Jibber-bibber!!

I went to have a look at his post. As you know, I'm currently focusing on analysing the behaviours on the higher TFs. When that's completed to my satisfaction (coming very soon seeing the results I'm getting) I'll do some last little bot tweaking and then leave them on their own.

THEN I'll start looking at the "fun" short TFs . As for Marc's results, don't forget he's using 1.5 standard lots so the numbers might look bigger than they are. Also the period which those trades were taken in was quite volatile. I have attached a pic of the 1H candles and where I put some thumbs up are the 4 hours during which the trades were taken. I have also converted his profits into pips, so we can have a better idea. Still, they're quite nice results for such a short period

Thanks for translating - I am getting a bit blind in the process. But I still strongly believe in the longer timeframes. It may only be fun to have some hectic little helpers maybe with the B&B idea behind them.

I will have to leave this evening - unfortunately I am forced to make some other money after FOMC and there is some financing being dangeled befor my eyes! I will be back later on - so do not let them disturb you from testing ... I love these heavy pipped tableaus of yours!! :

I got caught in GBPUSD & the reaction of GBPJPY. Unfortunately the FF Calendar was telling of a 0.5% move of the FED and I "tried to react in a timely manner". Which led to a massive loss. Hyper-hyper!!

What exactly is there in these files? I know I sent you some of mine the other day. I thought you'd automatically get my set-up or marc's by copying the 2 files in the Symbolsets subdirectory.

Today I set up yet another platform and said "goody, I won't need to manually set each pair/indicator, just need to copy those set files". But, hmmmm....... nothing.

How do you go about working with these anyway?

Just so I'm following you, we're talking about the US interest rate and the calendar below said it forecast a -0.5% move, and as we can see below, they "changed" their forecast to reflect the actual, which is -0.25% ? Is that correct or am totally in the wrong game here?

Now below is GBPJPY 5mins from 19:15 (time of news) to 22:50. It moved from 236.99 to 238.80 or 181 pips in a little less than 4 hours. Hmmm...

And here is GBPUSD 5 mins same time except I focused on what I now think I understand might have given you a hard time, ie the 2 "news" candles. They span from bottom of bullish candle at 2.0745 to highest of bearish candle 2.0810 or 65 pips.

Back home just now and right to you ... or rather the computer that is your representative here! : I save the set files on my desktop. Then I open the platform and the EA and/or the tester, then I select LOAD from the input menue and simply load them into "my" EA here.
Then the tester or EA runs with your tested settings and I can go from there.

And you should either copy thos set files into the new platform tester folder, or you just make a new folder on your desktop or under c:/ and then you load the set files from there.

Hope that is coherent - there is a little something with foam on top in my bloodstream!

They had a forecast of 0.25% change but posted initially a 0.5% REAL change. Then later on they corrected it to the number of 0.25%. Maybe they were fiddling with the fact that FED lowered both interest rates by 0.25%. But their mistake cost me dearly this time.

And what you see on the GDPUSD is a perfect whiplash - that is normally not that bad, but it came so fast and IBFX would not let me in or out of trades - I could have bitten my monitor! Well - Schicksal as we say here. Or more fitting: Scheisse!!

Never mind. As soon as we are ready here I will find new hobbies!
