Aus, i've a question: what is the sequence in reading the momentum? is it 1c,10c,then 14c...so 1c happens first then 10c etc....? for example if 10c is pointing up and 14c down will the price go up first b/4 coming down or vice versa??

- The analyst community seems decided that goldilocks is alive and well. Going by the consensus, things are going so well that there won't have to be another Fed rate cut at the December meeting. In a survey performed after today's close on Wall Street, 12 out of 20 primary dealers see the Fed on hold at the December meeting, while 8 see another cut. The survey's median expectation is for rates at 4.25% before the end of rate-cutting cycle (implyng only one more rate cut will be needed to prevent a recession). CNBC host Larry Kudlow: "With all the gloom coming out of Wall Street, the Democrats on the campaign trail, and the mainstream media, a remarkable thing just happened: Real gross domestic product, the best summary report of the American economy, came in at a breathtaking 3.9 percent annual rate for the third quarter. In fact, following the 3.8 percent growth rate for the second quarter, the U.S. economy has posted its strongest quarterly growth in four years. The economy actually appears to be speeding up, following the relatively sluggish performance of the prior 18 months."

Usually the 1c first. then 10C or 14C which ever supports the 1C.

10C and 14 C weak.. for a strong reversal 1C needs a strong bent support of either 10C 0r 14C. If all three have strong bends , thats a very strong reversal signal.

yeah Aus, my 14c is different as well (GFT) it is pointing up but its beloe the 100 line. no bend at all........baby

scrap that...waz looking at wrong chart...my bad

Aus, do you happen to have a dollar index chart or data that goes further than 1980, I'm curious to see where we might find support from the free fall

Momentum is just a comparison of two closing bars, the current bar and the one X periods ago. Different broker day start times, missing data, whatever could cause you to see something different than what Auslanco sees. Just trade what you see on your charts.

Yes it makes a difference.. But my VT,MT4,GFT all shows the

I got the dollar index on my e-sginal. But I dont have access to it unytil I get back from my holidays.

Do you think the circular resistance will hold?

Also, look at the macd histogram (5,500,50) on the 15 minute chart. It usually nails the big moves, with a few headfakes thrown in.
