See attached 1hr chart with gamma setting of .35. Notice the multiple whipsaws. Compare to the previous chart I posted which has very few whipsaws - so I do not understand why everyone on this thread is saying to lower gamma. If I am overlooking something, fill me in.Ignored

simply think of it this way: the smoothing added added by Chandra's Laguerre removes a lot of whipsaws, but not at a cost: the smoothing adds a delay to the signal, i.e. the signals are generated one or two bars later than the original Laguerre would.
To offset this delay, a slightly lower Gamma should be used to make the indicator as responsive as the original Laguerre without the smooting.
The end result is an indication that is as responsive as the original one by Imran, yet still is much smoother and hence gives fewer false signal. Best of both worlds...
