Would you look at that, positive dollar news across the board, perhaps Mr. Bernanke will come to his senses and not cut the rates, hmmmmmm, unlikely you say?!
Definetelly, INMO this string of dollar positive news could be viewed as an attempt to at least try and prop up the dollar before the rate comes, lol

Not so easy mate. There's housing and the credit crunch to think about. On top of that all the wall street boys, banks and funds crying out to the Fed. Right now, avoiding recession seems to be the priority - inflation be damned.

It seems to be the Yen that is weakening. The USD/GBP and EUR seem fairly stable. Although the dollar has been losing ground, it hasn't been a great deal.

What is your take on the FOMC announcement?

If no rate cuts, I will chop my legs off to go short for sweet 500 pips. 4hr and 1hr are on extremely OB.

Yup I agree... and NFP week is always a tough week for me to figure out.

Besides they have to many FA's for one day to get a good grip on things.

Something is probably up that will tick everybody off from "Big Mouth Bernie"

The real NFP release is on Friday. This one is just an indication from an employment provider. They were reasonably accurate last time so it shouldn't be ignored.

Any of our fundies people like to comment? Would strong employment data on Friday be dollar positive?

At the moment price is entering reversal levels and key resistance levels so I wouldn't be surprised if we see round 2 of another big fall. Could this be a typical buy the rumour and sell the news scenario?

Longs? I think you are a bit late. My last remaining long from 237.09 has almost reached target at 239.30. Stop is at 237.80 (locked in 70 pips).

At the moment I will not consider long unless 241.06 breaks. However, depending on the news and action following, I may start to scale into shorts.

If the fed cuts rates by 0.5 then my position is uncertain (unless 241.06 breaks). We have a brick wall at that level.

Chart attached with my buy, stop and TP. Also the purple line at 241.06 is the last bit of strong resistance although the grey shaded area is also resistance. Excuse the mess!

So Auslanco... The QQE on 15 min has come down to about 65, and the candles are above the Gann, and the feds didn't make a decision yet. Looking at this alone would indicate that price is going to continue going up, be it so solwly. Not many posts recently to hear what is happening. Have people now retired for the day?
