Yes it is possible, but judjing by recent history and immediate price action not probable. Notice, I'm still holding a little bit of short from the last swing high. Also don't forget the statement that's going to follow the announcement, if they don't cut the rates now let's see what can they possibly state in the statemet. In any case, tomorrow is going to be a rollercoaster, identify MAJOR levels and only trade in the direction of the main move, anything else might be considered suisidal. Don't underestimate the importance of tomorrows decision, it will have ripple effects for a long time.

With the Tokyo opening starting a downard push(not very large mind you), is this going to be a continuous drop or should we expect to see a hover in the 237 area all night? Just some insight is all I am seeking, also do any of you think this rate cut along with the increased negativity amongst major corps in the US in relation to earnings will cause a drop rather than an increase this time?


Hey Karmo or Markam, isnt it ok to use the 50 ema on the 30m TF as a pivot point? And if so does the G/J typically plummet after breaking the pivot point?

Ok, when i asked for leverage I meant not what the broker gave you, but what leverage YOU used. Example 100k account with 1 standart lot would be cosidered 1-1 leverage, you control 100k of the currency, 2 lots 2-1, 10 lots 10-1 and so on. Do you see what I'm trying to get across, what was your leverage on that trade?

P.S. take your account value, take the size of the position and figure it out

Not to provoke anything Mr.Anthony...I close all my shorts pants.. it fail to go down since monday... in my experience, it seemed right to wear long pants right now..but its your call... hedging might be one way..but be ready for interest it Gj goes all the way up to 240...reaching karmo's 251 by the end of the year...

Wow, 400:1. I tried it on demo and kept blowing it, I just stick to my 100:1 in forex, 50:1 in futures, 25:1 in commodities.

Personally, I would recommend to lower your leverage. Once you are comfortable trading and analyzing charts / indicators and keeping up with the fundamentals, do as you wish.

With that leverage you would of been out a long time ago with a margin call and an automatic liquidation at these levels, ok take your account value, then take the value of your position, full lot 100k, 1 mini lot 10k, and so on, then see the relationship of your position dollar value to the actual accout value. One more example, if you don't get this, no offense stop trading immediately, learn some basics, do a demo 6 months at least, make sure you follow your own rules and manage to be profitable and only then go back to live, otherwise... let's not even mentione it here.
OK if you have $1000 and trading 1 mini lot then you are using 10 to 1 leverage, because your lot controls 10,000 worth of currency(trying to simplify), see what I mean, what is your leverage ?

Yeah, I always wondered about that. All the money's in oil correct? I've wanted to move to Russia too but I don't know Russian.. I'd probably lose all my money there :

Russia is on my list of places to see. One day!

I can see the politics. Anyway, Moscow and St. Petersburg are the two places I'd like to visit (one day). Maybe when the kids are a little bit older.

OK anthony I'm off to sleep, watch, if there is a break and a close this hour below 237.05 level, you'll see 236.30-15, watch the price action, if it manages to break that level than you might see 235.70-80, make your decision at that time watch the momentum indicators. Don't hold on to your losing positions have the discipline to get rid of the losers and hold on to the winners for as long as there are no signs of reversal

I think GJ should retrace to 236 or so and then it will should go up to 239 (on US rate news)

I just noticed this on my 4H charts. However, I'm not sure how valid it can be since the candles are Alpari mixed before and after the time change.
