I'd love to see 'no rate cut' and then everything just starts collapsing.


Karm, that is what SHOULD happen, if Mr Bernanke has the best intrest of his country at heart. Unfortunatley, the drug addicts on Wall Street are demanding a "fix", and I'm sure he will placate them with a .25 cut. However, in the event courage is found and no cut is given, I will have a sell entry about 75 pips away to catch the wave down to the 230.00 area!

I don't think there is 'overbought' nor 'oversold' when using the Momentum indicator.

Here's an example I wrote in my strategy thread,

" Momentum & 5sma
Before using the Momentum indicator and 5sma, you must have auslanco's QQE indicator. I'll explain how to catch a retracement in this following example:
When QQE 4h is crossed upwards, and QQE 1hr is crossed upwards, and the Momentum at the beginning of the next 1h candle is pointing downwards, price will usually retrace to 1hr 5sma, it's that simple."

I don't use auslanco's indicators on MT4, but here I did a quick search and found the QQE for MT4.

We will have downward movement only if DOW closes below 13,800 , until then we'll have choppy movement. Yesterday we had choppy movement until the DOW closed and then retracement started kicking it, today could be similar.

I would guess in either case, you would see a short-term move up in the stock markets and GJ. Then sometime within 1 hour and 1 week of the cut, I expect to see the market start to fall, possibly fall big. This is especially true if the fed has language indicating that they are strongly biased against additional cuts at least before next year.

I am still predicting a dow in the 10-11,000 range by the end of November. It may be pushed back as far as early next year, but I doubt it.

thanks Bro do u have anything in a doc..with example of various indicators and interpretation for instance..if at start of day 10c is point up above 100, 14c is pointing down below 100 and 1c is on the 100....is that a 'Dud' trade...as in no direction or do we focus on the 10c?

I agree, just trying to get a sense of direction. Could see aspike, then return to normal. Now, if I could just figure what "normal" is, I would be in good shape.

I am thinking a .5% cut might get GJ up to the 240 range as a high.

Oh boy, I've written another book, but sometimes things like this just have to be ground out, kind of like the times of consolidation in the market. This thread will move forward again.

Not too be rude as I have never posted in here but just follow along....M2B you have a good approach it seems with trading and are level headed but IMHO you are acting like the thread Nazi and while I agree with some of your points and some not so much........you do a lot of bashing and you get on your high horse and it takes away from who you are and what you are about.

People relax and calm down and let's focus on trading not bashing and climbing up on our horses to tear others down.

Just my 2 cents........back to lurking.

From my understanding, momentum does not have fixed OB/OS levels like other indicators. You have to look at the recent history of the plots to determine what you consider to be the OB/OS regions for the current market.
