Man, I am so happy you have hit your stride here. You are an inspiration... I was one who vouched for your 1kt status and I would do it again in a heart beat... There is no stopping you now, probably end up reading about you in a book in the future...

Thanks for the kind words Scott,

You know, posts from experienced traders like yourself has been where I've drawn my inspiration from and to read your words makes me feel kinda humble

I've had a fantastic month or two but one swallow doesn't make a summer as they say here and I'm not taking anything for granted at this stage.

Well, managed to squeeze a few extra pips out of the market in the last 20 minutes or so of trading....

GBPJPY short 234.64 closed 234.54 (+10)
GBPJPY short 234.53 closed 234.43 (+10)

October pips +3870
Increase in Ac Bal +38.09%
Consecutive profitable trades 376

Well, we have what appears to be a pretty nice pin bar on the weekly chart, suggesting the pair may try and push up from here.

However, the daily and even the monthly are still looking bearish to me. I'm only taking shorts until I see a clear break and close above 236. If we break last weeks low of 230.33 then I think we may see fireworks (probably around 5th November ).

Anyway, who cares what I think? LOL

OK, by Wednesday evening my first full year in live trading will have passed. It's been an 'interesting' year full of ups and downs but I seem to have settled into a style that I feel comfortable with.

I've managed to increase the initial account balance by around the 60% mark which was way beyond my expectations. This has also been done with a maximum of 2% of a/c bal per trade - these last few months I've reduced that to 1%

As most of you reading this know, I didn't start with much capital and not much has changed outside forex. Reading around various threads on FF, I'm obviously one of those 1KT traders who can net a few thousand pips and be consistently profitable but as I'm under capitalised, will never make it

Anyhow, over the last few weeks I've been in contact with a fellow trader that would like me to go into a formal business arangement. He has the capital, I'll be looking to grab the pips. We'll be testing these next couple of months with a view to setting something up more permanent in the New Year.

As a result I may not be able to keep the thread updated as often as I would like because I must give my full attention to what could be a great opportunity.

Let's see how things pan out...

Hi Steve,

you don't know me as I have not really posted here before but having followed your thread off and on to see how you are developing I felt I just had to pass comment.

You have worked your socks off at achieving your goal to become a Trader and have shown what is needed to succeed, ie Determination, discipline, passion for this art and most importantly persistence persistence persistence.

I too aspire 'oneday' to achieve the same goal.... 3 years in and still going but will not give up till I get there. Your achievement is an inspiration to all of us and PROOF it that CAN be done. Whatever you have changed, discovered, eureka'd is clearly working and I for one am absolutely chuffed to bloody bits for you.

I am sure everyone who reads your thread will be gutted to see you reduce your input here but you definitely have to go out there and grab every opportunity that comes your way and I am excited for what the future now holds for you and yours.

A Forex Factory success story........... IT CAN BE DONE IF YOU WANT IT ENOUGH !!!!!!

It may or may not come off, very early days yet and I really can't say anything further on a public forum. If I divulged the account size, I'm sure there would be those who would say I was full of BS anyway so I'm not even going to go there

I'm not planning on disappearing but may have to cut down on my forum time.

Tiki, you don't need my pips man lol. Look, I know from reading your posts these last few months you've had a few challenges. But, you're still here and I'm absolutely convinced you have what it takes.

Believe in yourself but maybe more importantly, when things are going your way (& they will) keep your feet on the ground and just continue to do what you're doing.

since you may be winding some of your public trading down,got to ask..

I never cared for your change to scalping...guess I don't believe in it for the long run... just wondering which (scalping - day trading) worked best for you. I know you didn't give them equal time, but what did you do best with????

By the way thanks..your past comments about the James thread got me interested. It is by far a better way for me. I am much more comfortable using this method..

I've been more successful going back to shorter term trading (I hate the term scalping lol) but I don't think I could have done it without what I picked up off the longer term charts. When I choose to trade off the shorter term charts I'm always looking at the dailys for overall direction and when to change my bias.

Great to hear you've found your feet with the James16 group. There's endless ways to make money here but each to his/her own.
