It was nice being short for that drop. If the news is yen positive, we will be back at 233 pretty shortly.

I just got a 15m short signal on VT. Anyone else?

I've decided against entering for the moment though 1. because of Aus's rule of 0400-1600GMT, and 2. it dropped about 40 pips within a minute and came to an abrupt halt at 233.63, a significant level as it was a pivot point from earlier in the day (0900GMT). Must have been a few long orders there which have lead to the retracement to the 15m 100MA (yellow).

I might consider entering a reduced position if it breaks below 233.60, but I'd love to hear what other people think.

Seem like news brings not much of initial movement. Hope it does move according to technical analysis .

News came out CPI same as forecast better for the yen. We should see the movement soon...

stopped out on my short this morning re-entered short made it back will be trading with a bullish bias untill it proves otherwise

Short term price is in a larger wedge, sitting here is the 61.8 retrace of the last small bull and the lower median retest, look to long from this area, but any movement is bound to be short lived....

We need to bust out of this consolidation to see any real movement, until then CYA.

232.80 will be a hard nut to break, but if it does look out

It should retrace to 1hr 5sma and then I think it might go short

bro--i admire how u hold positions for a long time--over days/weeks...a true swing/position trader

i juts dont have the patience or shoulsd i say-- too much adrenaline

but i guess you build up your positions on smaller increments and hence can afford a resonable drawdown

as long as u making the dough--keep it up bro

Price bounced off 15 min Aus system Gann line. The system still shows bearish pattern. We will see the price movement. I am thinking to go short, need more confirmation...

You've got competing forks going at it, daily pivots and median retests.... Normally the larger timeframe wins out, as the smaller must conform to the bigger..... but it's a coin toss right now imo.....

Price is making higher lows, but the up side is all jumbled.

This triangle break should give some direction for the next few hours

I've opened a new account specifically for trades lasting days to weeks (short term instead of intraday). I can say that trading is a lot more relaxed at this level.... no need to worry about news spikes and general intraday noise so the effort is minimal. It's a bit experimental at the moment but it is part of my retirement plan so there are a few years left to prefect it.

No really . . . price is that tiny blue bit . . . just behind the red line . . . next to the last FIBo on the left . . . and just to the right of the red wedge!

Actually and truly, I am very glad it ROCKS for you! I would need a Dramamine and a shot of single malt Scotch to trade that chart! :-)
