EA trading time frame

When I have my EA turned on, does it trade only at the time frame I am looking at? If I want it to trade at 2 different time frame, then i have to open another chart with the same EA+different magic number?

An EA is not tied to the chart/timeframe to which you attach it, you can still access other timeframes and symbols. Can you be more specific about what you are trying to achive?

I think that's the easiest way... you could always program an EA to do all this running on one chart, but it is simply bad programming practice to make things more complicated than they need to be.

thank you for the replies. I made a copy of the EA i want and attached it onto another chart with different time frame. I want to see if this will affect the trades.
