Qpip, another freako suggestion:
Did you ever use the backtesters "Genetic algorithm"? (Expert prop / testing)
I used to skip that option as being something unusable, but it has 1 advantage:

If you have set a large number of options to test, incl large ranges, it would take you days, weeks or longer to get that tested.
This Genetic thingy option will random walk through all the ranges and will try to find the best results on which it will concentrate during further cycles.
It will absolutely bring joy to your life if you don't know in which range you have to start testing.

Set-up for this week (starting in 5 mins @ 19:00 EST on this glorious sunday evening)

All optimal settings as per post 790

1. OldAutobots: original 8 pairs

2. Autobots: pairs = GBPUSD, CHFJPY, USDJPY and GBPJPY (the ones that were positive last week)

3. Manual Qpip = Same pairs as above, I get to mingle

4. Bread&CheezeBots = CHFJPY, CADJPY and GBPJPY (again the ones that were positive last week)

Based on last week’s results:

Hello Matt!

Damn I had EA on 5M running and it did one good trade last night but many bars later. Ok, it hit +100 pips later but then managetp didn't work. I closed trade at +50 this morning. Now I've different managetp and EA running at the same time (ofcourse not in same chart). But there's problem with manageTP, I've TP at 20 where it should close half and set SL to 0 and then let the other half run (which would had gone over 100 pips). Managetp seems to close half first but then if price goes below the firstTPpoint and then again above it closes the other half too. Need to take closer look at this.

I'm trying to find good setups for 5M(or 15M) where I could take 20 pips and then let the other half run (at least 70-80pips ). So I want my EA to use QQEA and have managetp in it with few TPs and SLs. Lets work

I have seen the managetpv34 enter into some sort of boxingfight with the other EAs if you have set the EA also to take profit or to manage the trailingstop. It seems that either you want a trailingstop, or you let the managetp move the stop 3 times and then live with this.
So far I have not seen the managetp to "forget" about the pipcount and then take profit two times at the same spot (only if I interferred with its settings in the meantime ... and I tend to do that LOL).
I will try this on some positions and let's see what breeds out of it!
