Hello,

Thank you very much for your tips teacher Monarch.
Can I ask what other charts concerning EUR/JPY you have in your extra monitor?

I have an old notebook as an extra monitor now but it is slow.

Do I need an extra video card for the second monitor?

Thank you

Basil

You do need a second video card though some videocards support 2 screens (though obv yours doesnt).

Hi.

I think maybe you can use a software by the name: "maxivista"
Then you don't need any hardware as far as i know.
I am not sure if i am allowed to post links in here but you will find in with no problem if you Google it

I have no idea how it works because i have not tested it myself. I only read the website.

Hope it helps

Blazer, I had to add a video card in order to add my second monitor, all you need to do is have your computer model number, go to a "Elec Store" and buy a second monitor and give them your model number, they will look up what video card it uses.

Then once you install it into a video slot in your computer, you must access the properties and change the settings, this is all available on the internet if you google, it will give you instructions how to change to 1 to 4 monitors.

I have Oanda 5 second and 30 second, which I have been giving as much screen time to as I possibly can, but I also have MT4 1-5-30MIN and 1 Hour for both the E/J and G/J.

I have certain indicators on all the seperate charts, but basically I trade the 5second in the 30second direction, with my right eye watching a "naked" 5 minute chart. The only reason I have incorporated the 5 Minute, is because I have given two years to studying the 5 minute candle formations, and the 5 Second gives me a good indication along with this for easy entry/exits.

Other then that, study the RAINBOW for many hours on days, and get use to every formation it can give you, then when you think you have it, keep watching. LOL

I trade Micro lots only with the Rainbow for now, I will go to mini lots for the month of October, then Standard lots in November.

I am still experiencing a few roadblocks, but time will help, and following the "E Book" from Linux also helps tremendously.

Good Trading to you.

Ken

Now 4 monitors would be great, I could trade Forex and play on the internet all day long while making RAINBOW pips. LOL

Here is my 2 monitor setup, I also have a Laptop available for standby, in case of electrical problems the battery is charged up, just add a wireless card then your in business - for those trading large lots, I would recommend 2 internet connections and 2 electrical sources, also you have a cell phone to call the broker to exit trades in emergency.

Just a small bit of advice I learned from others on Forex Factory.

I seem to read over some posts way too fast In other words: I miss out way too many questions.

Well I am suprised you actually spotted them since I never mentioned them. The reason is: That i was just too lazy to color all the wmas blue ^^ I tried it but then again i thought mmh two red lines look nice in there.
No use for the two red ones.

I also added an EMA(15) and EMA(30) to the chart (red & yellow). They are interesting for the ntry but I don't use them as well. just too lazy to remove them.

Dear Linuxtroll,
Where do you apply to the the mentoring plan for the hopeless trader?
Ignored
Ha! Don't worry Itklev, there are others here who are working very
hard (LT says work smart) at Rainbow scalping. Just keep at it!
If it seems to come so easy to some that's fine of course. For us
"mortals" we have to keep at it. For me it's one step forward, then
one back. Two steps forward, get knocked down, get up and one forward!
BTW: You have found the mentoring plan. LOL
Welcome!

Brent

First post for me. Appreciate this post FXSurfer, I do the same. The one thing different for me, is that this method seems to 'fit'. Been doing this for two years and have yet to have any consistent profit. LTSS is the first one that I believe I can make work for me. I get better every day, but still much to learn. Take this opportunity to thank LT also. Thanks to all who post. I keep looking for bits of wisdom to share, and hope to contribute soon.

Hi there!

Haven´t post for quiet a few time.
I´ve come to a MM approach that i´ve been using succefully and which takes out a lot of the stress and frustration that bad trades cause, specially on newbies to LT simple scalping.
The advantage of this approach is that bad trades still have a positive end result, and the screening time just gets better and better. So, for those looking for that 90% hit rate that are still on the 50-50% side and want to improve, this MM is very usefull. You will make money even with a 25% hit rate and you will see how the stress trade just goes out of the window and it all become natural.
When you get that 90% HR, you can forget about this MM strategy and just trade naturaly. This is only to help you out during the process of becoming pros at LTSS.

I´m working on the article,
Carllos MM Approach to
“Linuxtroll Simple Scalping” (Only for Newbies) (C).
I really hope it will be usefull to LTSS new traders and it would be nice if LT includes it on his next revison of the book.

Maybe Linuxtroll wants to review the article before i post it. So, i´ll just wait for feedback.

Cheers

Carllos

Hello Carlos,

I am Glad you made it.

I am still in 25% success rate with a bag of technical problems, very few actual hours in front of the EJ pair and a ton of unknown things to learn.

My laptop is slow, so I don't know if it is the laptop or OANDA traders platform(not game) going back 3-5 sec from navigator prices.

I have bought today an ATI video card to connect an extra monitor.Uninstallable.
My motherboard is too old to run the driver.
Maxivista will have the same problem with the present setup. If current graphic card is slow 3-5 secs the same will happen with maxivista.
The goal is to have the 3-4 OANDA charts running real time with Navigator to the second in order to take the best desicions.
3-5 seconds later you might be out 10-200 pips.

Thank you

Basil

P.S.Anyone else has the Time difference with OANDA and Navigator ?
PS2.What is the real opening hour of London? 07.00 or 08.00 ? (GMT or GMT + 1 ? )
PS3 New York opens GMT -5 or GMT+1 -5 ? Many sites has different times so I am not certain 100%.
