I have answered this in many forums... Time for you to start reading on MMAs (Daryl Guppy; Alan Hull etc) and theory behind it... This is Linuxtroll Simple Scalping thread not Rainbow... Simply main advantage -- a user-friendly visual help for scalping... LoL

It was already popular... I created templates and autotraders using Rainbow a couple of years ago... LoL

A morning work:
5 Trades (pips):
1 SL: -1
3 TP: +9 (3x3 - i keep my tp close)
1 CloseTrade: +0.4

Trying to keep mistakes minimum..

Regarding you last post (1100), for those of us still trying to understand this approach to trading, can you provide us with your pre-trade thoughts as to why you entered at 157.63 and then why you exited at 157.55.

Entry was retracement from the nice short move started at 157,75 and exit was round no. = horizontal line 157,55. After few weeks time you will see this points - it is like reading book. Just take your time.

As stated on my previous post, just one high probability trade x day makes the difference.
All winners 3 weeks in a row, 10-20 pips a day.

However performance decreases if overtrading: more pips=more commissions+stress.

To those of you new to the rainbow. LT has given all the clues and examples on this thread.
Read it a 100 times if needed and make money.

After hours of watching the 5seconds chart and trying to be the roadrunner i have come to the conclusion its not for me, lol. Im a person with a slight nervous disposition and my mind and body could just not hack it!

But on an upside, today i have been using the rainbow on the 1min charts, trading the valleys and peaks in direction of the trend on EJ, stops just below the valley or peak depending on direction and have clocked 60pips in 3 hours EJ! .

Better suits me and less stress, more time to make the RIGHT decision!

How's everone doing on this part?
For me it's been nice when I do get the green light on
my spread meter. But, since I'm just entering using
Market orders, of course I don't often get zero spread.
I don't really worry about it too much at this point,
since I'm just starting and mostly concentrating on
identifying and jumping in and out of good moves.
But, if I'm missing something critical on the "2nd spoke"
it may be good to correct it early on.
Thoughts or comments anyone?

Not marked on the chart, but a question: Are these close enough to be considered bubble reversal trades maybe?

The more I learn the more I find that I need to learn!

You wrote an interesting thing on your chart "rainbow looks like a mess here".
I think people seem to understand the term "aggressive sclaping" in a different way than they should a lot.
Aggressive scalping does NOT mean to buy a falling knife (the entry against the S-line).
If youre an aggressive scalper you will still try to go with the rainbow direction. Its just a veeery small direction you use, for example its a move that just appeared on the last 4-5 bars.

btw. the rainbow is to help you identify where the price goes and will go, if it looks like a mess its a bad idea to enter.
Just wait for confirmation if you want to trade a bounce on a support line, this will still be an aggressive entry, but you wont buy the falling knife :-)

I am confused now.
LT asked me to mark up the chart to tell him where I thought S/R was and where I "thought" I would enter aggressive scalps. I really don't have any idea on aggressive since I still have some issue with conservative....

But... the original post had the down arrow where I sold (I thought spine looked fine there) and up arrow where I did a manual stop as price broke spine up.

I also posted that a few minutes after this screen shot the price fell like I thought, it was just the punch up through the spine that my 1st question was about.

so, any advantage in using some of the variable ma's available?
would these expose more opportunities during the times when
LWMAs are not in an explicit "rainbow"?

I have since ditched this setup and went with the all blue like post #1 that LT set up. I do think it is a bit easier to see, but not sure as yet.
I went 24-144 with 144 being red and all others blue.
I have also tried 150 - 240 spaced by 10 with 240 being red as well.

Not sure if I need to stop at 144 or 240 just yet.
