DislikedHi, LT
I have been looking at this rainbow to incorporate into my system.
I currently use 1&5 minute chart in Metatrader. the data dont seem to match ( there is delay about 1 second on each, sometime the metatrader is active while MBT is static....)...
Where can i get tick chart that work with EFX (MBT).
==========================================
I looked at USD/JPY rainbow (5,10,15...290,295,300 with 5 colour) the whole day and cant seem to understand it much . I think maybe because I THINK that the MA only shows the past.... so my inner self cant understand what is really being shown.
Can you please advice.
Thanks.Ignored
DislikedSo instead of trying to understand "the rules", try a lot of practice...
at least this is my opinion.
What is good about the rainbow is that it indicates a number of things in an easy to understand display.Ignored
DislikedHi Linuxtroll, been looking on this thread for some time ,
I noticed in Oanda forums a few months ago you said:
"If you guys are serious in scalping; you need proper interface - similar to SuperDOM price ladder.."
Does this mean you use DOM ladder to help make your scalping trades, i.e. seeing the speed of Price change and Volume?
or do you only use rainbow? I was under impression you only use Rainbow?
Also for DOM: since this is Forex market true volume is not represented? or do you just look at Price change and that is good enough representation?
thanks for sharing your trading style!

DislikedI'd love to make my own rules, but if it differs from how Mr. Guppy intended it, don't you think it would be useful to explain the impact of your changes on his documented uses?Ignored
DislikedHello everybody. So how it is going these days? Ok i just gonna tell you where i consider good price to enter on rainbow. Watch the price, Rainbow just show you direction and strength of trend. Watch how the price is moving around round numberss, i mean 10,20,30,...... Is quickly breaking or subtract from them? I think entering with momentum is less riskier as going on retracement. atleast for me.
To Linuxtroll : How do you use vertical lines?
I have one problem too. I dont know if only to me but OANDA data feed is very delayed. sometimes 1 or 2 seconds from MB. Do you have the same problem? thanks to all. have a good day

DislikedThis thread has been here for a little over a month now and I am curious how many people that started this are still using it either with live, demo or screen timing it.
Understandably, it is not for everyone in that you pretty much must develop your own rules, and that is against what most of us were taught upon entering forex. We were taught, "If you follow the rules, you will be rich"
I for one, am trading the rainbow exclusively and am still at or better than 90% winning trades. (still working on not allowing the few losing trades take my gains)
Thanks to Linuxtroll for his input and ecouragement to all that are truly interested in learning this method.
