Although i think anyone can make a half decent system with this engine (QQE)

What TF you trading off? I been testing the EA's in 1 Min ( Not for trading, just to make sure their working as they should)

I love the system but was wondering what you guys do or look at that lets you know a possible bad signal? I've been looking back in time on the charts to try and find some sort of pattern like all indicators crossing at the same point in time gives the best signal but haven't really pin pointed an exact scenario. What I would like, and I think everyone else would agree, is that I would like to, lets say, have four inticators on my chart and when I see that they all are giving me a signal at the same time then this is the real deal and not a possible false. Maybe it does this already and I just don't know how to read all the indicators properly and would like some help on if I need to read them correctly. Sorry, for the long post, hope I didn't confuse anyone Maybe we need to add one more indicator?

Hi All,

I've started some backtest with this EA. I think there's a couple of things to be fixed:

- After activated, the EA enter on next bar if the conditions are satisfied, without to wait for first QQE crossing. (I suppose QQE is the "master", other conditions are secondary)
- Trailing stop works, but again the EA open the same position on next bar -> more losses in a row can occour
- Possibility to enter before the bar is complete in case conditions are satisfied? ... at least will be useful for tests on small TFs.

NB: I realized these problems, testing "dot to dot" -> with QQE only as filter , and trailing stop + stop loss

Still possible that I have something wrong in my settings?...

I was testing the original supernova ea this morning with stop and reverse, I noticed that trade bar = 1 should actually be changed to trade bar = 0.

You can choose to enter later if you want but it enters too late for my personal style.

I am trading off the 15min and 5min. Kinda doing what Awesome is only I have been more comfortable with the 5min and looking to the 15 sometimes to confirm exits (using it for a short term trend indicator). I don't use EA's - I prefer to trade live. I am fascinated with the EA progress though and will continue to follow it.

I will try to put my thoughts together as to exactly how I am using the system and post it soon (like prolly next week). I am going by feel right now so it will take a bit to get it put into words coherently. Hope it will be of help to somebody. Also, have a modified QQE alert that works better for me which I am testing and will also post that too.

Gave this system a try friday after I discovered the thread. Most excellent.
posted my results using a simple 10 pip or so target on 15min TF manual trading demo account, never been much of an EA trader . If you follow the rules here in you can make a few dollars. I did trade some on my live account generating about $400 on 3 trades after I was comfortable with the indicators. Demo account did well also. I trade with a hit and run style and have done so for some 11 yrs now, I like to limit my exposure.

Well done to creators of this thread and the indicators,,great thread and great people.....

Hiho, Trial!

The EA is merely a surplus to have a live apart from the Forex every now and then and to trade multiple currencies to diversify the risk a bit more in the process.
Good success you had there - very nice, especially as it brought some real money.

Just had a question about the EA.
When you have ENTRY on QQE, DMI and CCI true, does that mean only open a trade when ALL three indicators agree or does it mean when EACH one signals, then enter a trade, so could have one, two or three trades opening?

Thank you for the great system, I have been trading very unsuccessfully for a while. I have Busted my account (thank God it's mini) 3 times. I was having a real discipline problem with stops. I found the thread about 2 weeks ago and started paper trading it Monday.
I trade manually on the 5m GBP/Yen with a 25-30 pip stop TP at 40 or adjust for a 20 pip trailing stop. My results (paper only) were 1 loss Monday (My fault I really wasnt watching the momentum -20) 2 Breakeven ( I got nervous and they both also happened Monday) But from then on it was pure gold 404 pips on 11 trades. Just following your well thought out rules. I also only traded less than 2 hours a day with no trades running more than an hour and most closed within 30 minutes. I will be trading Live this week and I will keep you posted weekly on my results. I can't use the EA as I use fxcm.
Thanks again with this system some patience and discipline I think I will be able to fire my boss!

Exit occurs when the FIRST item in your checked list is hit.

For example, If I check QQE/DMI/Momentum, then all of them will need to be in agreement to enter.
If I have selected only QQE and CCI for exit, then the first of these that hits will trigger an exit.

Yes, Glenn, I think it might be good, can't test it right now of course until price starts moving and the indicator starts plotting, so I'm going to play with the settings when market opens, see how it behaves. Looked good last week, not enough time to get settings right.

also, Lets say I have two or three indicators true, and only one indicator signals, how much time can pass until the EA voids voids the signal waiting for the other indicator to agree? For example DMI says trade but QQE isn't ready until 30 minutes later when it also agrees. I wouldn't want to miss a good trade because at that second in time both don't signal yet. Especially on higher timeframes it could be hours before two or three indicators agree to trade.

Hopefully once you test it and feel it is working properly, maybe you can add it to the EA and well have the 'Holy Grail'

I haven't had much to contribute to the thread lately so I thought I would post this...for those with limited time to spend staring at their monitor The numbers in the table are the average number of pips gained or lost during that particular session.
