If I am tiresome to any of you with some of my questions, but I just want to set up my chart so I can follow what you are doing for the sake of observing what is going on. I do appreciate any of the help i have received, but when sorting through thousands of posts to find an ema setting, it can get very tedious so a simple post seems the most efficient way to gain the knowledge I am seeking. I am not asking when should I enter or exit, merely what are some of the setting you are using on your charts so I can attempt to see them in the same fashion as the guys who are "theoretically" successful on this thread.

Seriously, I don't know mql, however, can you fork programs with it and pass parameters? Or does metatrader have an API? Finally, does it work on Unix?

looking at strategy right now and got to say I am impressed. If you remember last night, I am the guy who is still wetting his beak so to speak. I am not worried about turning 1k into 1mil overnight, but rather learning good practices and what are strong indicators for successful entries. I need to learn more about fibs though since I am still new to this whole game.

Take it slowly and try to study and understand slowly, there is no rush. None of us became a good trader in a day or two, most of us blew up accounts after another until we got where we are now. Always use good money management (There's a good thread by 'dialist' in the beginners section). There are lots of things to read, so take your time and never give up.

Once they close, things should return back to normal.. DOW makes this pair act a bit crazy, I know.

i have been reading alot about the money management side of it all. I just hate that feeling when you set a target of 30-50 pips, and it hits that, pauses out for a minute, and then keeps on going for another 30-40. Today is the first day I havent been a bone head and tried to jump back in for no reason other than greed. all in all I am up about 40 pips today.

Not much on a mini account, but I am trying to be patient.

The new traders to this thread need to understand there alot of different techniques and strategies being discussed in this thread. Pick ony one and learn it backwards and forwards. Once you start making consistent money with it move to another one so you can add it to your arsenal.

You should have patience for everything, entry, exit.. you've got to master it and never jump the gun cause you'll end up burning your fingers (speaking from experience).
