Anybody traded NZD current account today?

It was a huge spike and quite profitable too. BK posted nice historical charts too to make things simple? Do you guys have any idea whther NZD/USD can break .7000 now?

yeah it was a good looking move. not sure why we had it marked orange, should have been red. i will make sure it gets changed...

Here's one I don't understand. The figure was negative and a higher number(should say lower number since it's negative) than previous, yet lower(vice versa to add confusion) than forecast. And this was NZD positive?
I'm not sure if I've seen such a situation before.

green means "better than expected". it is based on the forecast, not the previous. the forecast is the expectation.

That's true. I think since USD sentiment is bearish today that's why we see such a big move and not much significant retracement.

this current account is a good sign that GDP tomorrow will be strong. that will be a really big report and the anticipation looks to be starting now...

Well I love trading the NZD and I got ++12 pips out of a simple straddle.

How much is the correlation between the two (GDP
and CA)? lokking back at BK's charts, in each of the last 4 cases (December 2005, March, june september 2006) CA was worse than the expected.
However, GDP was worse than expected 3 out of 4 (december 2005, March 2006, september 2006) times. What do we get tomorrow?

I had +15 on one broker and a crap +4 on the other; the broker did not fill my Limit and i prematurely closed it for +4. My mistake; I thought it was reversing as the number was not totally NZD positive; it was only better than estimate but not better than previous.

I love NZD news
I made +8 pips and +16 pips by straddle

was nice spike up and my triggers got hit but broker requte me
I used AUtoClick software and I asked for long on 1.6939 but crap requte me I'm going to change my broker soon
maybe at the first of Jan2007

I have to post hog and say thanks. I've been basing it on postive and negative and previous, not forecast. Let's see how this goes now...

Was a good report to trade.

1st half +9 (was +20, by the time i altered units to tp, it was +9)
2nd half +20.

Looking forward to the next one.
