My thoughts exactly. Cause I ain't really on the list for Nobel nominees in Mathematics this year : (contrary to what I let people believe) so if my poor brain comes up with these calcs well, yeah, brighter minds have thought about it much before moi.

However, I don't seem to see a problem (at least with brokers who pay the swap once a day) Oanda wouldn't work, as they pay "every minute" or some such system.

But next week I'm try it, just for the heck of it.

As for the questions regarding the bots "only entering in one direction". That was when I did my first tests with poor sampling quality. I mentioned it a few times, with the newer tests there are NO PROBLEMS with the bots taking both directions.

And as far as I can see, there are no problems either with the forward tests. Now don't forget this ONLY APPLIES to the pairs which have settings for Filters=false (meaning they will do dot-to-dot trading, where the issue came up in my first tests)

Qpipaloo your cerebellum is far superior to my own, I'm not doubting it and I will surely have a closer look into this, with a 20k account and if this worked as you describe I would earn the equivalent of my salary as of 2 years ago

I know, and that's not counting all the "other" trades, this is pure guaranteed stuff, no hassle, not hard, not long, not demanding, nothing to compute, just do it every flicking wednsday, and you're done with it.

AND the movements on my charts today kinda confirm I'm not the first to have thought of this btw (meaning it's been there for a while, it works, and I just stumbled upon it today) So let's get ON THAT TRAIN FAST, WILL YOU?

Now for a bit of philosophy

It’s a crazy communications world we live in. Gnmatt has alarms in his emails alerting him he’s got PMs and can answer the PMs from the email, I have a colleague at work today who answered her cell phone only to discover she had just phoned herself (!), I send myself emails, as you know, gnmatt “watches” backtest results LIVE, people can have signals sent to their phones, mobile devices, whatever telling them 2 moving averages have crossed (or whatever) and I won’t even get into the satellite imaging which is totally booming (and which I just love) whereby very soon I’ll be able to go out of my house (in Canada) with a sign that says Hi gnat Hi cry and you’ll see it on your screens a few minutes later in UK and germany. SCARY (but fun).

Very funny but true. Whereabouts in Canada, I am Canuck living in Portland,OR now but travel throughout NA, am presently in Lethbridge. Will have results of my desktop tests for you this weekend.

I find that Yahoo maps have better definition than any other (currently)

My house is the one with the +
You can see the 2 trees in front which block the fact that you'd see the car in the driveway. We've got a nice wooded area in the back where all sorts of pests live and come visit .

Brandt is not a duckling !!!!! Never intended...though there are real cute :-)...It's supposed to be a BIRD...do you remember I want to learn to FLY ?
...and also -not important- since both can fly :-) ... is not he...is she :-) ...what man will talk "bird" language

P.S. I found out the "classic" supernova works with precision as is supposed to :-) entry/exit...and also does not "jump" in all the time like some other EA's....
(P.S...in my back testing for some weird reasons only takes only one side of the trades...)

Discoveries are sometimes the result of mistakes (penicillin comes to mind). Here's what happened to me this morning.

Since I've been so focussed on my Bacon Bots with TP 40 these last few days, I didn't pay much attention to their mirror bots (with no TP). So this morning I decide to have a look and go because I see a balance of +800 pips. What happened?? And I notice that I had (by mistake) turned the bots OFF sometime during the day before yesterday. After reviewing the charts, I realize what happened.

They all took the long signal on oct 9, then got shut off by me BY MISTAKE so they ignored the short signal on oct 10, and continued their ascension until now (after a new long signal early today).

So of course this gets me to thinking this SHOULD happen and my eyes, for some reason, get stuck on the MOM. I say to myself, what if the MOM had NOT crossed down, then the short signal wouldn't have been triggered, right. So I start doing some visual tests with the momentum. I don't know why I haven't tested this one yet, absolutely no idea. Just took if for granted it needed to be set to 10.

Well of course, I got into my MT4 testing mode in a giffy. And I'll tell you, this looks good. Get ready for more pips . I've only completed tests on 2 pairs so far and here are the results: eurjpy gets an extra +85 pips and audjpy gets +105. That's EXTRA PIPS PER MONTH, ladies and gents (I don't remember the exact values (I'm at work right now) but it's around 20 for both, 22 for audjpy I think) Anyway, I'll finish the tests this evening and post the results subito presto for your enjoyment heheheh (and retirement I hope). nb. those are the shorter TFs, since these are my eating bots but I'll also test the longer time frames, of course :.
