Long time, no see!

I joined nearly a year ago and read back through posts for a few months before posting, had a practice account for 3/4 months, but never got into a mindset of trading, just did random trades at random times.

never really had the courage to put my own money in as it was a little tight back then so sort've gave up in the end i'm sorry to say!

I have money to set up a small practice account whenever i'm ready .

I've quit my full time job and have gone self employed doing bits and pieces, but have alot of time spare.

I know there's a wealth of knowledge on the net, but where to start, alot of it is probably just refreshing the memory to be honest.

Anyway, not sure if anybody here remembers me but just thought i'd say hi again!!!

Welcome back Kwackers and good job on waiting until the timing was right for you.

Just means all the research and patience i wen't through i'll have to do again.

But it is the right time to give it a go.

It was a case of before if i blew the first account that would be it where as now i can perserve (sp) to the end (he sez)

Are monarch, steviet etc still around?

First off, i used to use FXCM Practice accounts, i felt the set up was really easy to use.

Are there any new ones, or any people recommend in general nowadays (talking as if it was years ago but you know how things change!)

Personally I like MT4 platforms, I have a northfinance demo, its cool as it doesn't expire..but if you like FXCM that is cool too

Welcome back... Do not waste your time with Market Makers or MT4... Practice trading through ECNs...

Around that time there was a British pianist who had married a jap girl and settled in Japan by the id of Naspiano if anyone knows him.


He was the guy who taught me to trade fx, but like other newbies, it took me a hell of more than a year to figure out that naspiano's strategy was afterall the best, wish i had paid more attention in the very beginning

With different permutations and combinations i figured that each indicator works specific to one currency and rarely works correctly with the other.

Almost 18 months down the drain trying to experiment a strategy that works, which i was taught the very first day itself.

I failed on most times, because of the margin used per trade, before finally sticking to 0.1 permanently.
