looks like GJ disengaged and is hovering instead of following the DOW up..
will be an interesting US session tomorrow, after today's intra-day high..

Price has indeed gone back up to the Monthly 5SMA, around 239.05, which started this bump down. The 4H TFT is also right there at 239.07 on my chart. Someone had mentioned earlier that they thought price might go back up to the 4H TFT. Well, here it is.

Since the asian and european stock markets are likely going to follow the US market, I expect GJ will be heading up after a retracement instead of down. Looking forward to Aus's predictions.

Could you explain how would that affect pairs such as gu and eu?
in what manner does the dow affect them?

Price is quite a bit above the Daily pivot which puts a damper on shorts. However, when Aus's 15M strategy set up earlier for a long, price was beneath the Daily pivot which put more risk on a long trade at that time. It'll be interesting to see where price is in relation to the Daily pivot when the 15M strategy sets back up for a short. Appreciate the info, Bro, especially the way you track the DOW the last couple hours of the day, which can really turn the Forex market. I'll be back for Asia later on.

Looks like this is going to close as a pin bar on the dailies. This is going to push forth the buying pressure. I think that may have been all the retracde that we would see.

Hi Aus

Many thanks for all your replies. I understand I missed the entry but confused as to why?
The entry should have been 238.38. Was this when the retracement finished even though the QQE was away from the 50 line?

Also Jim said this was this also correct?
When price retraced back to the 5 sma (not the 50 line) on the 1hour would have (as it turns out) a nice entry short at 237.90ish area.

M2B....sorry to ask but you seem to use the daily Pivot as your guide quite often in you analysis, I'm fairly new with it, I understand basic directions of where the pair could go depending on where the candles close in term of the pivot, can i ask you what TF candle close you look for when using the pivot and in your exp. is it pretty accurate in determining the direction it'll go? thx

I am expecting the dollar to weaken against all pairs, except possibly the yen. It really isn't related to the stock markets. Instead it would be related to expections for another fed rate cut. The dollar is likely to give up its gains from the past week or so, and weaken prior to the next fed meeting.

I don't know what to expect from the canadian dollar, since the US dollar has already given up its minor gains. It could hold at this level, or strengthen even more. my bet is the canadian dollar will strengthen some more.

dow will have another strong day tomorrow, imo. we will not see a fall in the dow if you ask me. many of my charting buddies are all calling for 16-18k.
