Brokers and multiple accounts

Will brokers allow you to open up more than one account with them?

Shouldn't be a problem. I have 3 accounts at broker 1 and 2 accounts at broker 2.
Having more than 1 account at the same broker is great for tranfering funds between them if you need to. Also good for using different strategies.

I'm asking that because I'm planning to go real by next month and every single piece of information is huge information for me... Thanks in advance.

Personally i have accountS not to confuse myself . E.g. I have 1 account only for gold, i know how much i need for gold trading, so i will not exeed my range...
The other are for the rest...

I would advise if you are planning to deposit not much - then of course register only 1 account!
P.S. Keep in mind that transfer between account take some time too, be careful, plan your transactions between them in advanse(at least 20 min)

I've diversified my brokerage risk by spreading accounts across multiple brokers, not within a single broker. If one of my brokers goes down, then, I can use another for my trading. Also, each of my brokers has a different strength, I find. So, for high volatility trading, I use one, I use another when I need MetaTrader and another for low spread/cost long term trades.

I have had experiences where I had all my money with one and was shut down for an extended period of time from trading - either because I needed to move my money out or the brokerage firm had problems. Just another thought on the subject.

Another good thing that more than one account is good for is that if you want to go long on one pair and then short on another then you can. Good luck in your trading career.
