How to handle breakout trade?

I am a novice to forex, but I know that when a resistance/support is broken, probably a strong rally should follow. However, when such level is broken, there'll be much fluctuation in price movement that may hit the SL order very easily. Also, there are lots of false breakout.

How do u guys handle such breakout trade ?

patience, also wait for a close above/below the breakout point, as well as price action confirmation.

I mainly trade only breakouts/bounces of s&r.. it can be tricky, but there are a few ways to handle it. When price breaks support or resistance.. i usually wait for a candle close above resistance or below support, and then i'll enter on a retracement to the price level. you may miss out on some good momentum breakouts, but it helps to reduce the number of false breakouts. Also if you're taking a breakout in the direction of the trend, it'll be more reliable than a counter-trend entry.

Yes... When support/resistance is broken, there is almost always a retracement.. if there isn't one its usually best just to stay out all together, otherwise u can end up chasing the market.

Say, when the first candle close above the resistance, should I enter the market at the second candle when the price retrace back the resistance level? Or, should I just wait and observe the price pattern, probably after a few candle sticks? What do you think?

I have observed that some false breakout happen at the second candle stick. i.e. the first candle break the resistance, but the second one just pull back below again.
