Being in Canada surely you have faster broadband?? hehe

Backtest results are fantastic. I'm gonna quit my backtest MT4 career right now that I have tasted the honey

Will have to have a think about this drawdown with your data
I dunno if this has been mentioned and I have no proof but was thinking overall you have larger pip gains with huge SL and TS with this system perhaps reducing drawdown would be to set tighter stops and compund interest.

I own a little shiny demon sitting on my table and he hits the refresh button every 20 secs. Otherwise I hit him every 2 millisecs!

The results are amazing and the work you put into it even more. What makes me really really happy and is standing out completely is the fact, that NO currency has a relative drawdown stf + ltf over 15%, nearly all are below 10% and finally we have a median at less than 7.5%. I've never witnessed that before!

As Obiwan said in his edit right now: We have to cope with the losing trades. I will look into it in order to find out, whether still more short trades end in tears (remember my first trade on the forum??) or not. From my observation, and following the logic that we are mainly dealing in carry-trade land and therefore the trend is UP!, there are more losses from shorts as they are not so long lived or very rash.

Maybe the timeframe thing will help. Maybe a different treatment as of SL & trailings for short vs. long trades. We will surely find a solution.

I was thinking this also, you could open two charts one with Long only enabled with given settings and another chart trading only short with quick TP and SL.

Or you could set Long only lol

But what about last march and mid august, hmmmmmmmm.

Anyway, I totally agree with both of you 100000% that we need this bleeding to stop. It hurts so badly to see those minus signs..........

No... it is a prarbolic trailingstop and it draws closer to the price as the volatility dies away in order to catch more of the move... if I remember that rightly. Is rightly a word in its own right...ly..ness??

Attached is an EA I wrote to attach a parabolic trailing stop to any active order using the ticket number.

I just updated the code and haven't tested it, but it should be OK and might give you ideas.

I got a little cramp of running thougts... you must excuse me.

I was fiddling with gaptrading for some time. I needed an EA that would "dance away from the price" until the market closed. Before I could get that far, Metatrader had sold another neat little helper and the whole idea froze.

If we would have such a "dancing TrS" and it would stop dancing right on the first visual crossing of the QQE lines, wouldn't that help?

It is 00:42 so my upper neck ganglion is doing all the thinking by now. Insect resources, you know!?
