USD trading????

I have traded a few demo accounts and have been reading about forex here on the net. I'm unclear about one thing. As an american, when I go live, should my trading pairs always include USD? In demo, I've made some good profits with pairs that do not include USD.

It doesn't make any difference. You can trade any currency pair no matter if your account is denominated in US dollars, Euros or any other currency.

no.. you can trade any pair.. Pip values are always in the second currency in the pair. For example.. 1 full lot on usd/jpy would be 1000yens.. GBP/USD would be $10. If the pip values are in a currency different to your account currency, they will just be converted. Watch out though, some brokers charge you for the conversion.
