Sorry if I'm asking a silly question but I can;t yet understand how the dow and gbpjpy are correlated. if anyone can help with this?

Actually i ment the fundamental reasons of their match in the direction of movement if there is such correspondance.

Long term reason is that during a bull market, people borrow yen, convert to dollars and invest in the stock market. This is the carry trade in action. On a daily basis, computerized trading.

Anyone have any clue as to how the BoE's decision will affect the gbp/jpy pair? I am not exactly well versed in the area of news, and so I'll probably stay out of the position.

If they cut the rate, GJ would drop big. If they raised the rate, it would go up. If they keep it the same, who the hell knows.

I got confused with the pivot 237,9. I assume that is not a typo since have profit targets.... Iısn't daily pivot around 236,9?

i will sell Pound: Cracking a bit? Benefiting from a weak Dollar and Yen only; i think. It‘s due for a hit and we want to catch it..
Pound could move quickly on bad news
