Hi samsamsam,

set the the indicator parameter (timeFrame variable) to 0, which mean the same as the current timeframe on the chart, but let say you have opened 30 minutes chart and want to display supernova indicator based on hourly chart, then you set the parameter to 60 when you attach the indi on your 30 minutes chart

As for the settings, they are according to the chart I last posted, ie GBPJPY will have filters = true, stop and reverse = true, TF is 1H and magic # 100 (the others are incremented 101, 102, etc) You also need to set "allow auto trading". Hi Jay,

if you are working with multiple currencies on one account, the EA needs a magicnumber to manage the pairs seperately. Starting from 100 you may give each pair its own number... 100, 200, 300 ... or 101,102,103 ...!
Otherwise the EA will only manage one pair at a time. When the trade is closed, another pair will take the place. This may as well happen after a very old and by then invalid signal.

Thanks gnat, maybe that would explain why the SuperNova EA (Glenn) v1.1 that I was using yesterday on 4 different pairs did not work properly. It was entered in a trade but then other pairs should have been entered as well but they never were since that first trade was still open. This may be a bug in that version.

I am sorry. I am hanging in there for 20 minutes now. I was looking for the above mentioned QQE Alert and ran into "v2" all the time. I just want to re-check here... What is the question?

gnat I just applied the EA to different charts with a different magic number and was wondering why its not taking any trades when the criteria is already being met when i insert the EA onto the chart?

Maybe winsteadglenn's EA is not looking into the past to find signals... I will look into that. Right now I have no conclusive answer.

We will settle that nevertheless.

(Off a newstrade that did not happen due to a MASSIVE spread of 20 pips on EURCAD. I need alternative brokers for that part of my accountwrecking! : )

no i am referring to the original EA i just downloaded on post #1, thats the one I just put onto the charts with a different magic number...that one looks into the past no or was that fixed?

Please test and report any problems to Skyline.

OK, this being friday and all, is there any consensus as to the open trades? Leave them as is or close everything up and start fresh monday?

I vote for the latter since that's what I'd do if this were my real account (also I'm currently up +360 in the autobot which deflated drastically during the night with a current balance (realized p/l) of -38. My humanbots account, on the other hand, currently has 2 open trades totalling -40 but the balance is +558.

I don't like outdoing the autobots

And my b&bbots have very easily reached their daily objective so they're now put to sleep.

I need to get a better feeling for your testing results. I have been brooding over your tableaus today and I have been trying to manually backtest long timeframes like 1D and 1W and they came out quite positive... Is it better to place that in the journal then?

In my opinion the autobots are there to slave for you around the clock. I guess I would tighten the stops a bit before the market closes. Otherwise the awakening on Sunday may be COLOURFUL.
