If you look at the weekly chart you will see a very nice TREND LINE . every time we get to the lower trend line we had a great support , but when we react to the upper trend line the resistant wasn’t that strong. so now I am asking you all are we going to see another correction or maybe will see the EUR/USD Making new highs?

Based on the pattern it might retrace to the 1.38-1.39 zone

Its going to depend on whether the EU gets sick of such a strong EURO. You read news reports that they are going to do something to stop it but you wonder if its just rhetoric to keep it in line. I am not a huge fan of technical analysis and this is a perfect reason why. A pure technician will tell you there is no way the EURO can go higher without a pullback because of the trendline you just drew. But do we really know? Its all based on fundamentals.

In light of the situation can you go wrong by going long and trading small enough to withstand a 1000 pip drawdown with a 500 pip target?

Its like Nostradomous. Interesting after the fact but tell me whats going to happen tomorrow and I might listen to the guy.

Why waiting for the bears?

The bears are very weak now if they will make a move it will be only a correction.

This correction will probably take place within the next week or two.

However, I don't believe we'll see the EUR/USD get past the 1.3820-1.3870 level; even if this correction will hold four weeks or so.

Hhmmm interesting comment. What do you base your "Trading is based on emotions" comment on?

According to elliot wave we have the following possibility:
At the moment the 1.4138 low represents a 41.4% retracement in Wave iv and could generate a 61.8% target in Wave v around the 1.4424 area and a 76.4% target around 1.4485-90.

And i am prepared to put lots of money on reaching this target before the end of the year since there are no fundamentals suggestion the Bears to take over soon. Dont confuse a correction for the Bears.....

that uptend is not just on euro, is same in many currencies.
and is almost the same of usd deficit trendline.

i think this is just starting and usd will fast will lose its powerfull status around the world. remember the roman empire?

the world work in cycles, and its so alike the fall of usa as an empire to convert in a normal nation.

i bet the next superpower is going to be europe union. so the euro trendline for gains is just starting.

Hi guys,

I am a bit confused about where the EURUSD is heading in the next medium term (weeks).

I trade mainly on the daily charts and entered a short position a couple of days ago when I got some early indications that the EURUSD might be heading downwards and unfortunately my greed kicked in so as I said I shorted the pair.

Unfortunately for me I got stopped out (so there you go if you were long maybe some of my equity went to you, that's okay just the rules of the game) but I am left wondering and scratching my head.

Where might the EURUSD be heading? Are we talking again about new all time highs?

One of the reasons I expected that EURUSD might be heading down was the projected rate cut of the USD which I thought would boost the whole US economy, the stock market and subsequently will lead to the appreciation of the USD vs. the EUR but now I am starting to reasses my belief.

What exactly is happening, as I said I am a bit confused. I must also mention that I am a technical trader (80%) but I do keep an eye on the fundamental announcements.

Do you think we will see EURUSD reaching 1.50 in the near to the medium time frame?

There you go, I got it out of my system and I am waiting and hoping you will give some feedback.

EUR/USD is going to 1.50.. thats confirmed..
With FED cutting rates... Dollar weak everywhere.. People favor buying EUR heavily

i'm not a E/U player but after reading your question i put in my indicators on the E/U chart

here is my analysis

overall trend is bullish
next week the first support is at 1.4760 and then 1.4701
if price goes down in between or lower than 1.4701 and started to bounce up (or whatever indicators that you use for your entry system) then go BUY
if it gets below 1.4701 don't open any BUY positions (depending on your system, you can go SELL) as it might be a sign of reversal

It is regarding EURUSD on the 14 of Feb thurs.
I wanted to know what is my problem
As my platform uses GMT which is about the same time as the london open so I calculate my pivot from 0500 to 0500 13 of Feb wed. It is declare as M2/M4 day

On the daily chart I saw negative divergence. Price Action was above the 50 and 200 EMA so I assume downtrend. But overall is up trend

Hourly chart Price Action was below the EMAs I saw a triangle forming. MACD was trending down but above the waterline. So overall downtrend.

15 min chart assume the above all is downtrend. So I saw a 123 top place the sell stop. Then it whipsaw and countertrend up.

Question can you lead me to a better judgement. Good thing I was on demo lost over $200. HELP

one trade really isn't enough to tell if your strategy is going to work. It would be better to use stoplosses and risk only a small part of your account on each trade, perhaps 0.5% or 1%.

If dollar continues its slide into next year I believe North American UNion currency will come out in order to compete with the EURO.

Easy to form a union between US and Canada, but mexico?

lol... no, that won't happen.. i won't get in details but just listen Obama's words to "renegotiate" (in other words.. removing) NAFTA because it can be kind of unfair to the US .. so, how can a union be expected when politicians look for self benefits instead of common benefits?

if u all observe very well, USDCAD HAS been parabulating around the 1.0000 level for long now. i guess they want both values to be equal when the north american union currency will be out.

I doubt Canada would participate in any economic union with the USA considering all the systemic problems of the troubled retail economy south of the border. There are simply no benefits for Canada.
