I think the lowest it has ever been is around 134, but there is no technical reason it couldn't drop to 100 or below.

Hey Markam! may be this is a lame question but could you help understand the logistics involved here.

If more people borrow yen, then yen value goes up pulling down GJ. Am I missing something here or there is more to it?

People borrow yen at a low interest rate from japanese banks. They then immediately dump into market for a different currency, depressing the value of the yen. That is the yen carry trade.

So I have a question regarding account sizes. I know this may not be the appropriate thread but I value the insight from the top dogs that post here. I was wondering if there is such a thing as too large of an account? I know that sounds weird because you can't ever have too much money but when do you start having problems with brokers? Is there an unwritten rule about too large of an account? Hope my question makes sense.

You start having problems with your broker as soon as you start making decent and consistant money. So fool them and have a few different accts and switch days that you trade in each acct.

this is something that always keep me wondering. is this kind of business legible?? who knows....

since you're buying and selling currencies, no one is losing but you if there's a loss. however, if there is A LOT of profit, i wonder why they would lose...??!?!

as long as one keeps their account not too big, they're fine. just don't make it too large, if you want to invest a large sum, i would suggest that not only use different accounts, but also different brokers. there are lots of stuff where u can invest if you have alot of money

I was wondering why we are seeing the DOW in positive territory,
in light of the negatives in the market (housing / consumer) then
CNBC just suggested the drop in crude oil prices could be holding
the market up.

So the conspiracy theorists are still thriving. If you have to spend your time wondering which broker to use for the day, and wondering which one is looking to screw you, then you better hang up trading and go back to your regular job.
