However unless you are a scalper , it's a joke if you determine the direction of GJ just by looking at Dow.
But if you are a scalper, those intraday bounces off the daily highs and lows for the Dow are just wonderful scalping points.

markam, looks like this pair could be heading for 210. If BoE cuts rate and BoJ raises rate, US economy enters recession, some more mortgage lenders report more problems and some more bear sterns emerge, we could finally be heading for your vision of an armagedon.

I said as soon as the fed cut their rate, the BOE, and most likely the ECB, were going to have to follow. England, because of their own banking problem, and Europe, because the high euro is going to kill them.

the new candle should hold the further retrce im waiting for
and this candle looks well bearish--another 100pips drop v v v v v v v v v likely

Scratch the BoJ raises rate part, if yen pairs fall hard, they would be looking at cutting rate.

man .. I got burned this time, lost more than 100 pips today without combining the technical analysis
But I still don't get it as for short. Still incline it would retrace upward sometime today. Well, I mostly wrong than right .. I guess

This is the first day I have actually sat down at my computer and followed the thread posts the entire day. The amount I have learned from aus, karmo, hakuna, and many others is unbelievable. Just wanted to give a big thanks to you all for being so helpful. Ok, lets see this thing drop now

I do see it breaking down. It has been up too long now. After it stalled yesterday, it seems to have lost momentum for setting a new record. All it needs now is some bad news to get investors to start bailing out.

Dow is still at opening level and has been steady. I think this move is due to yen strength.

Yes and I am watching the 4hr for a 1st confirmed bearish candle. Once we see that it will be due for it's retrace. Were that puts G/J we shall see.

i shrted a small amount at 229.93 since i missed the first 100. hoping for a small retrace to catch the last 150 at bigger lots
