Will the BOE and ECB wait until next month to cut rates, or will they do it immediately?

I think extraordinary cuts - ie outside the scheduled monthly meetings/rate decisions - are still highly unlikely. Already today's 0.5 cut could be called unmeasured and I don't BoE and ECB will react in that way or worse.

I don't know. I think that the central banks are going to lower rates and try to reinflate the currency bubble. One part of that is of course the carry trade.

The one thing I do know is that gold and oil are going to keep going up. Gold was a little delayed today, but is up to 724/ounce now. I expect 800 in short order.

the ECB maybe, but BOE is looking at a major banking crisis. Lowering rates is about all they can do to try and stop it.


The EU can't take much more strengthening of the euro. If eu gets close to 1.5, you are going to see the EU do something.

It is basically happening just as I expected. All the fiat currencies are going to go hand in hand to their destruction. None of them can afford to have a strong currency, so they have to keep inflating the money supply and stay as weak as all the other currencies.

You can't see the effects looking at currency pairs. You can only see it looking at energy and commodities. As currencies get weaker, commodities appear to get more expensive.

If you stop thinking of the world economy in terms of money, and start thinking of it terms of energy inputs, you see a totally different view of what is going on.
