I use IBFX for my charts, VTtrader for auslanco's indicators. as for the candle's TF, there is no standard rule.. you just have to practice so much to know a breakout from a fake breakout.

I will stick with my short and IF price goes to that fib, will short again. expecting this short to give me a good 200 pips at least

Looking at the daily chart, this pair has been in a "range" of about 700 pips (235-228) in the last month. I doubt 235.50 could be broken any time soon. I have one short at 234.10. If price does go over 235, I'm gonna add 4 more lots with sl 236 and take profit 700 pips away at 228. This is my favorite setup due to the great RR ratio with not too much technical involved. I am sticking to my short term/mid term bearish fundamental view on this pair. In October, we will see US reports fully affected by the subprime mess. Long term outlook, this pair might or might not ever go to 251 again depending on if BOJ decides to start raising rate next year.

The dollar is down against all currencies, except the yen, where the dollar strengthened.

Remeber, the yen always does the opposite of a normal currency. It is like the anti-currency.

The yield on the ten year treasury note is higher for the US than the Japanese treasury note, hence usd/jpy will be higher. Why the yield on the ten year is up right now I have no idea.
