20:28 GBP/USD: GBP Pressured As UK Mortgage Co. Asks BOE for Support San Francisco, Sep 13. Cable has just fallen sharply from 2.0300 to 2.0278 on the news that UK mortgage lender Northern Rock has asked the BOE for financial support. The news follows reports earlier this week of UK mortgage lenders having problems. GBP/USD had spiked to highs of 2.0346 this afternoon after strong buying by a UK clearer took out stops above 2.0300. Risk is for a move back to the London lows near 2.0235 with option defense seen ahead of 2.0225 strikes.
The news has seen EUR/GBP bounce sharply from 0.6830 support to 0.6845, while GBP/JPY feel sharply from 234.00 to 233.38. This cross hit highs of 234.79 this afternoon, with 232.50 the next support.

that was a bounce up from 200 MA on 30 min and 1 hr chart and 60 ma on 4 hr..very strong support
it will head higher now, i am long from 232 targetting 233 before i sleep
more then 200 pips in just 15 mins..this is the fastest one for me

go look at the hourly chart I posted earlier, it was a bullish channel.. price came down and bounced right off the lower TL (plus daily 5sma), the retracement was quick.. I will wait for confirmation from auslanco's system and hopefully our new target will be 236 if there are no more bad news from the UK

It is likely the asian and european markets are going to ignore the US bull day in the market. If so, I expect we will be back testing 228.5 since it looks like we finally have some volatility back in the market.

60 ma has crossed over 200 MA on the 1 min chart and seeing past history of such cross overs, need to watch every S & R levels if they hold. I suspect 232 level should give it a bounce back, lets watch it in Asian and Uk Session
I am currently short from 233.91 , 1st TP was 233.30 , its reached, closed 50% of my positions, left next 50% open for TP at 232.65 ( 5 pips above Karmos Target)
i have a limit order at 231.85 ready for going long, with SL at 231.35 and TP of 232.30 for the night, going to bed now

This is weird, the lowest it got on my ibfx live account was 232.40, on my demo fxcm feed it hit 232.00

FX Snapshot:A huge ripple effect is being seen in JPY crosses on the back of news that Northern Rock has asked the BOE for help. GBP/JPY has been sold sharply from the highs near 234.75 today and stops under 234.00, 233.70, 233.20 and 233.00 have been triggered. This has helped push USD/JPY under 115.00 triggering short-term stops

IBFX is lagging, just give it a while.. they do this from while to while

low was 232.00
