The feds have done 3 repos today and pumped 21 billion into the system. That isn't the interesting thing I noticed. The 14 day repos the last two weeks averaged 5.04% on the rate. The 14-day repo today was 4.72, or approximately a quarter point lower.

Signal for the cut next week? If so, the equity market is going to react negatively, since I believe they are pricing in a half point cut.

Hi Guys,

Recently discovered this thread and it seems that Auslanco and others here really know their stuff. I am eager to learn from you all!

I have been doing a lot of reading of all the posts but not quite done yet.
First goal is to make sure my charts are set up correctly so I know I am looking at the same thing you guys are looking at. I am using MT4 charting and have added the indicators that were posted to my chart.

There is a picture below of what my chart looks like could anyone tell me if I have it right or is there something missing?

I associate the terms "oversold" and "overbought" with the princlple of supply and demand. If something is oversold it means there's a glut of something on the market (more supply than demand), and the price falls. If it's overbought it means there's not enough available (more demand than supply), and the price rises.

It's easy to understand this when dealing with a commodity like oil or gold. I have tougher time understanding what's happening with this currency pair. Is it that there's not a good balance of buyers and sellers right now?

I want to clarify something that many of you have understood it the opposite it seems.

when it is 'oversold', price is supposed to RISE!
when it is 'overbought', price is supposed to FALL!

and NOT the other way around!
