Japan is ok, but I got actually tired of it. Wanna migrate to some more interesting places. Wanna exchange places? There are many people here from Dubai, came to work, but they all regret leaving Dubai. Hehe, they were those who told me a lot of nice things abt that place.

Gagiul, are you living in Japan, too? Although we(conservatives) don't hate Abe because the Liberal Democratic Partt is only political conservative in Japan, Mr.Abe was brought up like a tender plant....

I think the upward spike and the downward spike came from the PM resignation. At first it was perceived as a negative for Japan and prices went against the Yen. Then it was perceived as a positive for Japan and prices reacted the opposite.

Japanese stocks fell Wednesday after Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said he'll quit, ushering in a period of uncertainty that will likely weigh on Japan's financial markets even as the long-term impact on its economy remains slight.

Abe's decision came sooner than many had expected. The Nikkei 225 rallied initially on the news, but soon retreated, while the yen came under immediate pressure and Japanese government bonds and U.S. Treasurys gained.

Still, observers said that Abe's exit won't have much effect on the Bank of Japan's monetary policy, nor the overall direction of its markets, as both remain in thrall to the credit crunch afflicting the global financial system.

Ideas that the BOJ will hike rates soon had already receded and, if anything, the political uncertainty produced by Abe's exit will likely raise expectations the BOJ will tread even more cautiously on rates in the immediate future.

Medium-term JGBs should benefit most from Abe's resignation, as political uncertainty "probably means that the BOJ will not raise interest rates for a while," said NikkoCitigroup strategist Satoshi Yamada.
