Anyway, I am confident both will drop, just be patient. The DOW high should not go much higher than 13,700 and the most natural turning point is 13689.

I'm sorry for this question, but somehow I lost track of the importance of the level stop. We need to be below that, then wait for a retrace to the 5 sma before this short entry is valid? If so, the level stop is right on top of the 50.

i'm not sure how to comment on this. but i would have to disagree. back in the good ole days, i was in school, graduated from school, went to college, graduated from college, went to grad school, graduated from there. 18 years of my life!!! why? to get a job
now why wont u do the same for this kind of job?? i wouldn't say u have to go through the entire 18 years, nor the 4 years of college. i think you should invest in lots of education, lots of training, lots of decipline. then and only then would u be able to feel confident about the way you trade. if it works great! but if it doesnt, then you shouldn't give up, just like the first job, it never works! it's always ur second job that u like
when u think u made lots of mistakes, you should go back to them, ask yourself what u did wrong, find patterns where ur strategy didn't work, avoid them in the future, and work your way untill u get the ultimate stategy. it wont be easy, at the same time, it shouldn't be hard. and don't worry, you're not alone, there's lots of people here to help u out! pick the best out of everyone's strategy and come up with your own.
i was a disaster in this, i most probably still am. there are lots of pros here id say, way better than me. i learn from most of them, get in arguments with a few whom i respectand all that to learn.
take your time, nothing happens in a day and a night.
you're probably way better than i am at this, but no one's perfect.

At my stage of development in part time trading, hope is definitely alive and well. And I definitely do care about which way my trades go. And I should . . . because I'm still trying to learn and become competent.
But I think that once you've become a skilled trader, and you've found a system that works for you, the best way to trade is without emotional baggage or a hoped for outcome. You know your system will work most of the time, and your main function is finding the trading opportunities and taking them, regardless of how the individual trades work out. That's what I was getting at.
I can also see how a reasonable person might disagree, and I respect that.
