Lilmoe don't be offended but as almost said on every ten pages there are newbies reading this thread who may take a position regarding what has been said. Therefore if a trendline is broken it will go her way. I won't argue the TL's position (mine is a bit different and up a bit) since every trader has his own way. If price retraces then it means it has not broke the TL.....

you're right, and i was the one always pointing that out, sorry.
however, i just noticed that on another platform 4h closes 1hour later. Momentum indicator is showing 45degree angle downwards. that's why i said it will retrace
GJ has been trying to break this channel at 244 (aug 9), 234.5 (sep 5), 233.7 (sep 7) and failed, however it did now, and a 4h candle successfully closed above it. also we have a nice and clear 4h QQE cross over the 50 line. it's all posted in my charts.
this will give it a nice boost to 237.## area, probably 238
and of course this is not a trade call. please trade your charts. there is no way to sue me if anyone messed their account up by following me.

My decending TL is still in tact, none of the candles have been complete to the up side of it, as you can see i set the TL against a candle back on the 9 august.
My view, this is just a retracement to the TL and 224 will be seen before we head much higher.

I had it drummed into my head fairly early never to trade on hope.
On the other hand, deciding to check the charts for a trading opportunity might be based on hope. And it's only human nature to hope the trade turns out well after you make one. And even getting into trading in the first place might be based on hope. But these examples are different.
