DislikedI also optimized the trading period. The goal was not to have the highest profit, but to have the highest PF. {image}Ignored
Disliked{quote} I see you also disabled money management. Good. Now all your trades should have the same size, right? Divide your total profit by the number of trades. Convert the result to a price distance for your used lotsize. Now you have the average achieved take-profit distance of all your trades. Compare this number to your spread and you can roughly estimate the impact of slippage which you will experience live. Example: If your average TP distance is $0.40 and your spread is $0.10, then spread alone eats about 25% of potential profits. Slippage...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Profit per trade is $6.14 spread 21-23 point Lot size 0.1; $6.14 = 61.4 points. Would this be the average TP distance?Ignored
Disliked{quote} Yes. That would be a ratio of about 1:3 or 2.8 which is an issue. It means slippage can easily take ~30-50% of your profits, which is too much for my taste. Personally I aim at least at 1:4 before risking real money. However, I haven't yet charted the actual entries for M5, so I don't want to discourage you. DislikedHi everyone, I will get right to the point... I found this old EA in my MT4 from 2019 by Abokwaik (FF member) and ran it on the tester from June 4th 2026 to July 3rd 2026 on the Gold 1 minute chart. I adjusted a few settings and got the following result... I will post the EA, settings used on the test, graph for the test and the test report. What I would like is for someone to verify that the results are accurate and also can anyone give a little insight as to how the trades are established. Abokwaik only posted the EX4 file.
