The market is tricky and this v3.0 of the currency strength indicator tries to F it back.

The indicator (currently on Python) begins analyzing the currencies at 03:00 Tokyo open. Then what I do is, I wait for a currency to appear on one side of the zero line. So looking at the figure, the first plot is JPY (strong). Okay, next, I will trade the entire basket of JPY pairs only if JPY appears on the other side of the zero line, this time would be a weak JPY. It did that at 03:56. You can check all the JPY charts starting at 03:56 to see the bask was in profit.

Next plot was USD. USD appeared as strong. Then USD appeared as weak at 04:19, so at 04:19 I will trade the entire basket of USD as a weak USD. You can check all the USD charts starting at 04:19 to see the basket was in profit.

Next plot was CHF, and it appeared as weak but it has yet to flip to strong, so no trade for CHF.

Next plot was NZD as weak, so I wait for NZD to plot strong. It did that at 04:14 so I trade the entire basket of NZD at 04:14. You can check all the NZD charts starting at 04:14 to see the basket was in profit.

On this one I had a chance to start a NZD basket. This is the current equity curve. I'll update more later about how it's doing.

Interesting, I don't know any programming language, but may I know your approach how to get the time strength? Like how you manage to isolated certain time and determine the strength of your basket?

Oh sure, I can make the indicator available for testing. As long as the direction of all the currencies that flipped is consistent tested across days, meaning all correct, or all incorrect, then that's good. Even if they're incorrect, as long as they are all incorrect, then it's just a matter of flipping the direction of the plots. If people are willing to test it, I can post it for testing as long as you provide feedback about any other ways or other setups you identified about how it could be traded, etc.

Other things need to tested too like what time a day to start the indicator, for example this equity curve is when I first created v3.0 and did the first test for GBP strong starting at 18:00 yesterday.

Other things that need to be tested is, not flipping but looking for a level change, so a strong plot, skips upwards, get stronger, or a weak plot, skips down, gets weaker, etc.

I'm not sure if people are willing to test it out but if yes, I can post it for testing.

Just look for the currency starting from the left and if it's above the zero line, look for it to skip upwards before trading it, or you can also test the flipping thing I mentioned earlier, or whatever other way you can think of. If you think of something good, let us know.

So far in the first day of testing at various times beginning with the first test at 18:00 yesterday, it seems that taking the first currency direction it gives is the correct direction across all the currencies it identified. In other words, not the flipping thing I mentioned earlier.
