I think that there is just too much uncertainty about the current economic situation to move GJ either up or down. We need some significant event to kick GJ out of the 232-235 range.

DOW needs to break 13,250 and USD/JPY 115.00 for this to fall to 232.00. Further depends on Momentum at that time.

The dow is testing the lows of the day. I have doubts that it will go down. We will probably just drift up towards 13300 for the market close.

i might be stating the obvious, but one significant risk/event will be if the fed does NOT cut rates - and i hope it doesn't

Doubt it. Those numbers are so manipulated, they will never give you a horribly bad result.

I expect either a surprise rate decision by either the US or england, some really bad news from one or more large banks, or (my expection) the collapse of a bunch of hedge funds.

Looks like 232.5 was the bottom for now. I closed two shorts in profit and hedged the third. I think I am out until the BOE decision tomorrow.

I have said all along that there is no way they will cut the rate. If the market starts agreeing with me, we should see a lot of down days in the stock market the next 2 weeks.

Too early to close bro .. it would be another 50 or more to go .. just watch and sit tight. But don't blame me if it doesn't happen .. at least I still have my short open .. stay calm . isn't that name Markam came from? http://www.forexfactory.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

That is why I left a larger short open, but hedged. I am more than happy to let it go below 232. I will just close it then and let my longs run free and wild.

However, I will be very surprised if the market can mount an attack on the earlier low.

since this is a backtesting, i follow the rule.
when it came up as win or loss, i will remark them.
any person here give their opinion about how current market react.
so, from there i can make a conclusion what is the best time to enter market following this strategy (beside my own analysis)
on the other hand, we can add some filter to make this strategy useful.
